On June 20th, the Lindens and Moles opened the virtual doors to their Second Life Birthday regions. I've been participating in these events for several years now, and this year is no exception.
Between the blazing heat of the summer, as well as *gestures broadly at everything*, I thought it beneficial to go back to my building roots. I designed my SL22B parcel to be a bit of tranquility underneath the cool waters. It's inspired by my very first build in SL, the Reef, and the SLB plot number I was assigned was 13. I like that number, and so the title became Reef 13!
I invite you to come visit, and even if it's just for a little while, find some calmness here. It's been a while since I've done an underwater-focused build, and now seems like a good time.

No , this is not an exhibit in a shop window of the captain's chair from The Enterprise , a distant cousin of Robbie the Robot or dentist's chair from the future - but it is a two seater Visual Reality hot seat !!

Found in the window of a shop in Leatherhead that sells clothes , shoes , kitchenware, gifts ,homeware , haberdashery and so on -plus this monster in the window to use for a few moments of virtual reality ! I have only ever once seen anybody using the VR here - could have been a car chase , war battle , natural disasters or who knows what else these things do - I am not sure how much they charge for this , but it must be off putting knowing the passing public can watch you as you react to whatever is going on in the VR world !!
Well all this Virtual stuff is a bit of a mirage - so here is ---------

I don't know how many of y'all saw the old Transformation Station at SWF, but it had gotten a bit dated. So I asked for approval to update it, got approval, and went to werk!
BEHOLD: the brand new SWF Transformation Station -- for all your chill vibe underwater changing needs.
We do not allow full nudity/visible genitalia on ground level of the sim, including in the sandbox. Many people come to the sandbox to change outfits though, and in theory that's ok, we'd just prefer to not have peoples' bits out when pretty much anyone could be passing by.
Having said that, I do hereby decree that if you want a place to change and like doing so at SWF, you may do so fully in the Transformation Station. It's more out of the way and is *meant* for changing, so I think it's okay there if you need to be nekkid for a sec to fully get your look on point. I rezzed privacy screens if you do want to be modest, but do as you will, within reason. <.<

It's opening daaaaayyy! At 5 PM SLT, Burn2 will officially kick off its "Circus of Fire and Fun" event. The sim is technically open 24/7 so you can stop by whenever, but everything will be ready and the official events will start at 5 PM SLT today. Here's a shot of my build for this event, and it's titled "Underworld Circus". Come play around on the hoops/lyras, check out the tight ropes on top of the building, and try not to get burned by the hot lava. Be sure to look for the gift next to the door! It's a free sky setting (shown in this photo) to go with the build.
