And to think that I was always bottom of the class in Chemistry... (Math and Physics too for that matter - hhh).
The new alchemical fascilities at Syncretia. These are actually situated within a neko and furry gym that I am still working on, directly below the power plant. I have decided that I am spending way too much money on facial products. So, from this day forward I will be manufacturing my own and I will also be giving it away to my sisters (interested brothers are also highly welcome of course) in the metaverse for free. A walking, talking (not to mention writing) monument to altruism, me... hhh

Lots of very similar shots here. More for my benefit than anyone else's obviously.
The outfit comes with two skins, both Drow themed - one dark and one lighter, both with seashell tattoos; two vests, a somewhat sexy jumpsuit ;-), spur boots, the tentacled glow hair and of course the tentacled seashell train.
It took me a very long time to work this one out. Attaching sleeves to the vest alone took me the better part of an afternoon...
The hair is a heavily reworked Philips Replacement full perm object. Similarly, the shoes and the sculpty vest are reworked full perm items created by others. I have used eyes by AlterEgoTrip Svenska, who makes some of the most expressive eyes on the grid I think.
Once again, the entire outfit is skin based - and the skin is yet another skin modification based upon Eloh Eliot's templates.
Making an outfit out of the jellyfish which I made for Syncretia was actually one of the very first things that I had in mind when I started making skins and apparel. It is now Alpho, our hybrid creatures specialist, who has undertaken this.
Men and women get the skins, the jellyfish "skirts", tendril spines and cheeks, a nice little skullcap and tendril shoes.

Representations that fall into the Uncanny Valley would not necessarily have to be mechanoid - or at least that is what I would imagine. Something which is humanoid yet clearly non-human, should also qualify. It would however have to have negative subconscious associations, such as a succubus surely must have. I am reading up on my Freud to see if I can find any substantiation for this claim in what he has to say upon the subject of the Uncanny.
So meanwhile, Flea Bussy's Smoke avatar comes with an entirely different shape and skin as well as hair. I kept the bald look and adjusted all the prims to Alpha's shape and size. And also made them semi transparent. The skin is Vry Offcourse's "Frail" skin.
This one is actually called the "Smoke Incubus" at Grendel's Children. However, since Alpha is female she cannot be an Incubus, only a Succubus.
Hanging out with all those engineers finally seems to be paying its dividends folks! These are completely accurate data-viz diagrams (which I am using with the owners permission of course. He is my brilliant student computer scientist/designer Berkay Kaya whose masters thesis in flow visualization applied to info-viz I have shamelessly pilfered to suit my own unsavoury purposes). Even the 3D excel chart hair ornament is more or less accurate!
So, who's the mostest modernist now, Msssssss Amina, huh? hhh
In addition to said excel chart you get male and female skins, suits, sneakers, page-boy hair and arm ornaments. And as a special gift I am also throwing in what is possibly the coolest hover vehicle ever made in SL: The "Hover Squiddy" by Cubey Terra, textured by yours truly.

For men and women, this is an avatar inspired by Native American petroglyphs. There are 3 skins, ranging from a very abstract and geometric one to one where the tattoos are in fact Native American symbols. Outside of the three skins there is a bodysuit for ladies and one for the gents, a very elaborate torso attachment made out of thin loops to which I have attached rocks, two more for the upper legs, a rotating "rock" headdress and some rather silly "rock" slippers.

After a long absence we are back with "Copper Celt" designed by Grapho: The medieval armor which was largely used for the attachments is a full permissions item by Wyld Magic which Grapho has minutely re-textured as well as modified and added onto. This is a unisex outfit with skins and texture leotards for both sexes. All the attachments (and believe me there are a lot of them!) can be worn by men and women alike, although some scaling up may be called for where men are concerned. The ladies also get an extra skirt btw...

This one took a lot of planning and engineering: Alpho wanted to create something which was split right down the middle. However, needless to say, the SL avatar templates definitely do not allow for that. So, she overcame that obstacle by builidng a transparent arm. And the problem with that is that it digs a huge big hole into your torso whenever someone looks at you from the side. So, that little problem my furry sister overcame by adding a plate to the side of the body. This is all unisex by the way and comes with male and female skins, assymetric skirts, the hybrid head complete with mohawk and whiskers, paw boots, the arm and plate and an animated solar system. ;-)

Rachel Ruysch was one of just 3 professional female painters in 18th century Holland. The daughter of a botanical illustrator, she painted flowers. This dark, unisex, historically inspired outfit is a homage to her work.
Comes with a very ornate male/female skin, darkly ornate garments, a shawl, spearate hats for men and women (the female version also has a veil), hair, skirt/belt, pearl upper arm ornaments which attempt to capture some of what people used to wear in that period, sleeves, pantaloons and boots.

It has to be said outright that I cannot play any musical instrument in Real Life. Be that as it may, wolfie's piano really inspired me, so one of the things that I have had my heart set on lately has been a piano in Second Life. I spent quite a while hunting around for one and getting myself familiarized with sheet music and so on, but then tonight I finally got one. In fact, I ended up getting two: One, which has a very high prim count for Syncretia and a lower prim version for Klein. I set the one for Syncretia up on the western shore, against all the black textures that I have there.
I guess lurking somewhere deep inside is a concert pianist here because the amount of joy that I derived from playing this tonight is almost pathetic.
Oh, and I am playing the Goldberg Variations btw. Obviously, nothing less will do... hhhhh
Our latest are two cyber avatars:
"Frequent Flier" has been created by Alpho Fullstop and takes its inspirations from aviation. You have all the signage and predominant colors of the runway mapped onto your bodysuit and the greatly stylized plane gets attached onto various parts of your body and legs.
"cyborg blues" is by Grapho Fullstop and is inspired by the Insilico sims. Wtih this one you get a helmet that protects you from the pollution, a torso plate with back fastened oxygen tanks, belts, upper leg braces and glow shoes.

I think there will be more "colorized" outfits in the fullness of time (who can resist colorizing things in photoshop, eh?), so I am erring on the side of caution and naming this v.1.
This comes with a fat pack of colorized male/female skins (red, blue green and yellow), the body suit, the "skirt", a necklace, arm and leg attachments, boots and three color versions of the wonderful "anime" hair by Philips Replacement which I re-textured and added a lot of geometric ornaments to.

Alpho has decided to join the living - and about time too!
When she saw me playing around with some of Arcadia Asylum's original hobo diving suit prims she practically tore them out of my hands and told me point blank that this type of stuff was her department! The outcome is a historical diver's suit (hence the somewhat corny name of "Jules Verne")/cum hybrid creature for men and women, complete with neko and non-neko helmets, fins, oxygen tanks and a school of very funny fish to follow you around in your travels. We are giving away the original Arcadia Asylum attachments, which we completely re-textured, for free together with the outfit in a separate box. The garment still has numerous attachments which we created however...

Amina is making up for all the time that I have not let her in of late. So, here she whipped out another one: This one is based on a cow pattern. Comes for both sexes. Men get a more sombre khaki, women lavender and pink. Many different skirts, belts, attachments, some hilarious cow shoes (which Amina re-textured) - all topped off with the amazing Phillips Replacement anime hair, re-textured to fit the theme.

Hummm... Miss Daisychain seems to have gone contrast and geometric all of a sudden? Have to watch this development like a hawk folks! I mean, I need to be out-geometriced by an alt like I need a hole in the head! Granted, the overall theme of damask, which entails stylized floral patterns and the "snowdrop" hair make this one fall into Xiamara's bailiwick. But, even so... grrrrr...
This is constructed almost entirely out of basic prims and specifically out of toruses, except for the sculpty boots that is. Comes with male/female skins, garments, two sets of bloomers, bustles, arm puffs, boots, extra shoes and the above mentioned hair which is constructed out of damask patterned snowdrops.
