The Great Channels of Virginia is a natural preserve area filled with massive boulders that create long and winding rock mazes. The sandstone boulders are reported to be 400 million years old; they are located at the top of Clinch Mountain near Brumley Gap in the southwestern corner of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. The maze of boulders will blow your mind and make you think you've been transported to another world. Even though the trail to the top is a challenging 2.5 mile route, it is worth the effort to make the trek and explore this otherworldly place!

Dusk over the Potomac. This was a very interesting evening, with the atmosphere being quite humid with a damp misty fog settling in over the water.

Let me know what you think.

Looking straight up at a railroad trestle on the New River Trail, near Hiwassee. Even with a 17mm lens, I had to get waaaaay low and lay down under my tripod to compose the photo.
