We found out at check in that we had to choose one of the Lots that was non-reserved, so we scouted out the campground and chose Lot #4. Here is the RV set up on that Lot.
Virginia Beach VA. Formerly known as Seashore State Park, this park is known as the northern-most location for Spanish Moss in the United States. It marks the site where the English settlers that founded Jamestown first set foot in what is now Virginia.

Negotiation after the Raid on Martin's Station. You see the Indians sneak through the fields, capture the women caught outside the fort (of course!), fire original muskets and a cannon, burn down sections of the fort, and negotiate the return of the women. adaysouting.com/blog/2010/05/25/raid-at-martins-station-a...

I tried out the Nikon 28-300 VR last week and pretty much loved it. It is nice and sharp at basically all focal lengths and apertures.
I think the thing I noticed the most when shooting with it is that I took A TON of photos! It was so easy to shoot a wide scene and then zoom way in to shoot a nesting robin(err whatever).
It's a bit heavy, but I really think it'll make a great hiking lens.
I've got Tamron's 28-300 on the way to shoot with for a few days, if it can keep up it'll for sure be the one I get. But after shooting the Nikon, the Tamron has BIG shoes to fill!

More shots from the set taken on two rides covering a total of 48 miles on the New River Trail near Galax in Southwest Virginia. We just got back from a couple of days riding along this converted railroad that was built in the late 1800's to haul iron, lead, lumber and other products from the mines and farms of the area.
