Wish you a wonderful day!

There was another light snowfall last night and into this morning. Its very pretty but I'm growing weary of the intense cold. I've enjoyed it but its time for it to go so we can have a wet Christmas :)

it's cold today... -15ºC

This is not the #ViewFromMyWindow that I expected for #flickerfriday.

Cores e formas do inverno Florianopolitano.

Taken for the Flickr Friday #ViewFromMyWindow theme. My initial idea was for the view from inside but without some sort of wide angle lens I couldn't do it. Tried though - set the camera on timed and put it in the back of the drum. Really funny to see the flash going off inside the washing machine.

The view from my window this morning, hello Skye! :-)

What a wonderful view to wake up to, feel so lucky.

That yellow is so bright, the sun seems to hit it and make it even brighter, I tried to tone it down a bit in Photoshop. But that is actually how bright it is in sunshine.

This is not only about a view from an actual window, but also about a view from a window of opportunity. I was visiting MASS MoCa, shooting the outdoors through its old mill building windows, when I saw this scene in front of me. The woman was sitting absolutely still, looking out the window. She was so motionless, for a moment I thought she might be an art installation... and then just before I hit the shutter, a bird that was trapped in the building flew by her, and she turned.

I like to wake up and first what I see is glittering leaves in the sunshine :)

Finally had some time to take a photo of the dove that has decided to make it's nest on our front porch. She has become much calmer now than when she first started nesting. The first night I came home after dark, I thought she was going to kill herself trying to get away from me. She flew back and forth frantically banging in to the window, the ceiling and the front door right in front of me. Now, she sits there and stares at me and most likely hopes that I will get the camera out of her face soon.

Autumn. Yes I live in a busy town.

Asian city - crowded but colorful.

The silhouette in the left bottom corner is my daughter Soleil's head as she watched the Sand Tiger shark swim by in the Baltimore Aquarium.

As I stood in the kitchen trying to frame this picture, my wife walked in and asked what I was doing. I explained and she said "Did you clean that window your going to show to the whole world?" From the tone of her voice I could tell that wasn't a question. So I stopped, cleaned the window and there it is.
