It's the Flip in it's earliest incarnation. From Wikipedia: "The first version was originally released as the "Pure Digital Point & Shoot" video camcorder on May 1, 2006[6] as a reusable follow-on to the popular (and widely hacked) CVS One-Time-Use Camcorder, a Pure Digital product sold through CVS/Pharmacy stores that was designed for direct conversion to DVD media." This camera belongs to Sean "Pusgums" Mason.

The new camera of commandN!

My old video camera had some problems that seemed to be a bad connection. So since I had a new camera and hadn't used this one for some time I thought I could just as well crack it open and go over all the connectors inside. And it did actually work better after I put it back together again!

Richmond Olympic Oval Opening Ceremony

The one used at the first televised Kennedy-Nixon debate.

The whole time I was in college I meant to stop by the JFK Library, but it seemed so far away on the Red Line. (The only other time I ventured past South Staion was when I had jury duty at one of the Quincy stops.) On my return visits I've meant to go, but it was hard to fit it in. Since this trip was fairly spontaneous, I figured it was the perfect time to visit.

I hadn't been to a presidential library before, so I didn't really know what to expect. It turned out to be more museumy than I thought it would be, and overall it felt surprisingly cold and impersonal. Perhaps that had something to do with the sparse architecture of the building. The video intro at the beginning was great though, completely narrated by JFK himself.

The wikipedia article gives some history about how the library ended up where it did. JFK chose a site at Harvard but after Cantabridgian opposition it was moved.
