My dad's Dejur 8mm video camera. It still works and is in near new condition. Countless family video's were made with this camera.

Snapped this farting around with my 35mm rangefinder during a Sirshannon® photo shoot. I tried to time it with the strobes as he shot. I got pretty close on this one. Brian and Mena did their thing, Shannon set up the lights, I just composed, focused, and snapped pics. One of these years he'll upload his digital versions and I shall link to them here.

Set up so I can use my GoPro or my SJ1000 camera. This mount clips onto my handlebars of my motorcycle with a small U-bolt to lock it into place there. I bent a piece of aluminum in my vise to make this mount base.

Television cameras film the build up to the match.
This week (14/9/10) saw Greater Manchester Police stage an operation to police the first round match of the Champions League group stage between Manchester United and Glasgow Rangers at Old Trafford.
The match, attended by over 74,000 fans, ended in a scoreless draw.
Greater Manchester Police’s Assistant Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said: "We had a considered plan to work with both clubs and it has worked well. The night has shown the fans in a really good light.
"The supporters responded positively and many of them complemented GMP and the clubs on the handling of the operation.
"Given the limited number of arrests for fairly minor offences it reiterates the fact that most acted responsibly and are genuine fans.
"Clearly, people heeded our advice not to travel without tickets and, as a result, Manchester city centre was very quiet - one of the aims of our operation."

got a Flip camera for christmas and while it is pretty cool it doesn't really offer an sort of manual controls or adjustments. So I figured I'd try and rig something up to make the videos a bit more interesting.
A while back I bought a big box of old Tiffen filters and adaptors at an estate sale. They don't fit any of my cameras but they do fit nicely over the lens on the flip. This setup is with green and orange filter stacked, produces a nice "vintage" look to the videos.

What we have learnt about quadcopters and props:
- Experiment with props to find the ones that suit the quad the best
- These grey APC 10x4.7” props suit the quad better than the three bladed GWS 9050 we were using. The APS 10x4.7” props provide more lift, more stability and better handling response (the rudder was poor with the GWS). The motor KV/power, frame size and total weight and everything else all effect what size prop will best suit
- Props must be properly mounted and this can be painful. Prop adaptors, motor shafts and the hub of props must all be matched up to fit properly. This is probably where we have had problems before with other props. It doesn’t matter how well props are balanced if they are not mounted properly
- It almost goes without saying- balance the props
- Carry spare props: we have had some pretty major crashes with our quads and the parts we have broken the most are the props. Remember you’ll need pushers and pullers (or CW and CCW) as spares
The faucet washer helps in securing the camera and making sure the door opens and closes freely on the mount.

The Mitchell VistaVision, this version from 1954 mounted atop a Linhof Tripod, was Paramount's contribution to the development of wide-screen technology in the 1950's. It produced a larger negative by running standard film stock horizontally, in the manner of the 35mm still camera. The VistaVision negative could produce very sharp prints capable of great enlargement on screen. White Christmas (1954), The Ten Commandments (1956), and Vertigo (1958) were three of the most successful VistaVision films. Last used for feature productions in 1961, these cameras are still sometimes employed for complicated special effects work.
Behind the Screen, the core exhibition occupying 15,000 square feet of the Museum of Moving image's second and third floors, traces the history of the moving image, from 19th-century optical toys to the present-day impadct of digital tools. The exhibition incorporates approximately 1,400 artifacts from the Museum's collection of the material culture of moving image.
The Museum of the Moving Image, located at 36-01 35 Avenue in Astoria, promotes the public understanding and appreciation of the art, history, technique and technology of film, television, and digital media by collecting, preserving, and providing access to moving-image related artifacts via multimedia exhibitions and educational programming. Originally established in 1977 as the Astoria Motion Picture and Television Center Foundation, opened on September 10, 1988, in the former East Coast home as Paramount Pictures as the first museum in the United States that was evoted solely to the art, history and technology of film, television and video. Following a $67 million expansion by architect Thomas Lesser, starting in March 2008, the museum doubled its size and reopened in January 2011.
