I never wear a long salt/pepper white beard, but it was something different and shows versatility. If a production requires a more mature character that fits me, I can adapt. *A bit of makeup was used to whiten the beard & on my skin to enhance the aging process for this image. Photo by Steve Mark.

this photo is the most like the ones i've seen from the days when jason used to "travel the world... making his living on rock and roll"
Graham Nash played at Babeville on Aug 8 2025. This was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. His band is SUPERB. These guys are incredible and versatile musicians, each playing multiple instruments.
We saw him in May 2020 - just before the world shut down for COVID. THAT was an out-of-this-world concert. He and we knew that things were getting bad...but he said "We're here tonight and we're going to sing songs, play music and enjoy ourselves".
He rocks and tells stories and puts on a heck of a concert. Tonight's concert (Also on the verge of disaster in our country again!) was again a cathartic and wonderful experience in such a dismal time. Graham gives it 110% and is completely into it. The crowd is into it and the feedback between him and the band and the audience is electric. Admittedly this is an older crowd but there is a real back and forth that I rarely see at concerts.
The venue is also special. Babeville is an old church that was close to demolition when Ani DiFranco bought it and turned it into a first class music venue. It's not huge so all concerts there have an intimacy that's hard to match. His songs also work so well I this setting. He often comments on it. Seeing once was special, but this was even more so. Graham played mostly seated as he broke his knee and has a brace. This hasn't slowed him up nor - as he said - "Broke his voice".
He really seemed to enjoy himself and be as into it as the crowd. This was a super treat. the positivity of his music and the crowd was really the boost I need in a dark world.
