The F4U-1 Corsair (lead) was developed into the F4U-4 shown here with a larger engine and a few other improvements that kept the Corsair at the cutting edge of United States Naval Aviation until the advent of even more powerful Corsair variants and jet powered aircraft.
Thank you, in advance, to those of you who take a moment to leave a comment and/or fave my photo. I appreciate it tremendously.
For five decades, the Orange County International Auto Show has been the event to celebrate automotive passions and to see the vehicles of the future. (Paul Conant - Auto Show Chairman)
The first time the OC Auto Show threw open its doors, the Beatles dominated radio, hamburgers cost 19 cents and the Ford Mustang had just come on the market. Fifty years later, musical tastes have changed, as have McDonald’s prices, but the Mustang will again be parked on the show carpet – this time in both its 1965 and 2015 model year versions. Shot this today, and decided to post it immediately - since this is the first one I've seen.
Looks like the Florida Highway Patrol has some new cars. When I approached this vehicle I noticed a completely blue light stick on the rear deck and I had no idea what kind of car it was until I was really close. Didn't expect the FHP to start buying the Ford Taurus. Definitely makes a harder to spot unmarked car.

Perhaps the oddest vehicle ever used on sightseeing in Glasgow ! TWH697T was originally built as a double deck Leyland Fleetline / Northern Counties H43/32F and was new to Lancashire United (522) in August 1978. It lost it's roof in a low bridge accident and was rebuilt by Greater Manchester PTE to the form seen here. On disposal it passed to Green's of Kirkintilloch as part of a batch of Nationals purchased by tender, and entered service as a 28 seater. When Green's sold their services to Kelvin Central Buses it wasn't involved and was resold to John Morrow of Clydebank. Kelvin finally took it into stock when Morrow sold out, and surprisingly it was found to be reliable and lasted long enough to receive two repaints. When it was finally withdrawn it went to Alex Pringle, who ran Discovering Glasgow Sightseeing Tours of the city with a fleet of open-top buses. This rare picture shows it in Clyde Street operating a city tour. I wonder what the tourists must have thought! It only ran for a week or two before the engine was transplanted into a double decker and this bus went for scrap. Shame it wasn't preserved as it was such a one-off job.

2015 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 4Motion BiTDI GT
Amongst the throng of police vehicles to be seen patrolling the perimiter of the Silverstone circuit during race day at the British Grand Prix was this Volkswagen Passat demonstrator that is currently on trial with Northamptonshire Police.
This one seems to get to the major sporting events. It was seen at the Grand National meeting during it's time with Merseyside Police back in April.
Pictured in July 2016 at the British Grand Prix meeting at Silverstone.

This was the best I could do without trespassing and was taken from the public road behind. Almost all of these vehicles are now withdrawn except for 22009 GX51PUJ, (which may be reinstated at Thanet for schools cover), while 17619 V619DJA and 16090 R190XNO have both departed last week, with 17628 W628RND now added to the Storage compound in their place since my last visits: www.flickr.com/photos/69558134@N05/28333496032/

Yes I'm back again.
However due to my main computer on which I edit my work being struck down with a big bad virus, this picture and all the others I am uploading, were Unedited but have now been replaced with Edited versions. So enjoy and Thanks for your patience and understanding.
I do still hate everything about this shit that is new Flickr and always will, but an inability to find another outlet for my work that is as easy for me to use as the Old BETTER Flickr was, has forced me back to Flickr, even though it goes against everything I believe in.
I don't generally have an opinion on my own work, I prefer to leave that to other people and so based on the positive responses to my work from the various friends I had made on Flickr prior to the changes I have decided to upload some more of my work as an experiment and to see what happens.
So make the most of me before they delete my acount: www.flickr.com/photos/69558134@N05/?details=1, to stop me complaining!!
Freshly painted 50013 'Agincourt' rounds the tight curve at St Andrews Junction with the 13.25 Birmingham - Paddington train 12/09/1980. The train is passing Carrs Paint factory which sat snugly in the land bounded by the railway, today that land is all housing estates. In the distance on the Camp Hill line is the back of an MGR train that is returning empty from Didcot power station to one of the Nottinghamshire pits, it is passing site of Brickyard crossing. The picture is taken from the side of industrial premises in Sydney Road off Garrison Lane.
50013 was built as D413 at Vulcan Foundry 05/03/1968, it was named Agincourt 19/04/1978. The loco suffered fire damage and was withdrawn 13/03/1988 and cut at Vic Berry (Leicester) 01/06/1989

Metroline (Demonstrator vehicle VW1469, BF63 HDG, Perivale West/Horsenden Lane South (PA)-based) at John Princes Street, Oxford Circus, London. Body no AH987, delivered new 05/12/2013. Apologies for the mark on the left hand side of the photo, caused by a clump of dust that got into one of the filters in my camera lens.
NS 7222 is the last of the ex CSX SD80MACs to be released into active service. It suffered a broken crankshaft before delivery to Norfolk Southern. It received a new 20-710 prime mover, new main alternator, and new air compressor. It is seen here trailing on NS 965 at the Brickyard.
My latest project is this stunning Kenworth K100 operated by Neil Yates Recovery of Maidstone UK. They bought this truck used from the States and converted it to a heavy recovery vehicle in their own workshop. Before I went to the UK for a couple of weeks I was noticed about this truck on a British forum. While Neil Yates is just located on the route I had to drive it was obvious to make a short visit. Fortunately the K100 was their so I could take lots of pictures. It will be my first 1:13 scale US truck in LEGO. Very nice challenge and of course the chrome parts will be in chrome on the model.

My luck around Daventry while out for the D2 had started to dry up again. Having got bowled by a Toss Co delivery van along Burns road last week, I tried again today. This time, I got bowled by a lorry full of rubble. Not the sort of vehicle you`d expect to see in this housing estate. Oh well, I at least had a shot in mind along Hemans road for when the bus came back. BUT....... what was right in the way for my next planed shot? That lorry full of rubble! It seemed to be delivering some hardcore for a house that is being built around the corner. Oh well. I at least managed this shot further down Hemans road. 26th April 2016
The KLR-20 is the very first luxury combat vehicle from Regent.
I recently found the Agents Turbocar Chase on sale and got two of them just for the silver pieces. I challenged myself to build something using just the two sets. What I initially made was not too different from what you see here. I thought I'd rebuild it using all my parts and see if I couldn't make it all silver.
