Sorry for the numerous uploads ! But my CS crew was on the verge to make a revolution if they didn't obtain new vehicles to... well, roll along the carpet ^^

I didn't want them to get angry... ;-)

Vehicle started her working life at Lothian in full fleet livery as their 286, she was then lent to Go Northeast for fleet evaluation as their 9131, still in Lothian livery, but returned back to Lothian later on. She also spent a day with Brighton & Hove around july and was then sent to Hants & Dorset Trim Barton Park Eastleigh Hants and was repainted all over white livery and made her way, as a demonstrator, to First in Manchester's head office, Oldham Depot, here she is seen on the 83 service with the fleet number 36300.

This the ideal vehicle to go round Iceland off the ring Road

Unimog is a range of multi-purpose all-wheel drive medium trucks produced by Mercedes-Benz, a division of Daimler AG. In the United States and Canada, the Unimog was sold as the Freightliner Unimog. The name Unimog is pronounced [ˈuːnɪmɔk] in German and is an acronym for the German "UNIversal-MOtor-Gerät", Gerät being the German word for device (also in the sense of machine, instrument, gear, apparatus) Daimler Benz took over manufacture of the Unimog in 1951 and they are currently built in the Mercedes truck plant in Wörth am Rhein in Germany.Another Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. plant assembles Unimogs in Aksaray, Turkey.Unimogs were also built in Argentina until the first years of the 1980s, in the González Catán factory.

New Unimogs can be purchased in one of two series. Medium series 405, also known as the UGN ("Geräteträger" or equipment carrier) and heavy series 437, also known as the UHN ("Hochgeländegängig" or highly mobile cross country).

The first model was designed shortly after World War II to be used in agriculture as a self-propelled machine providing a power take-off to operate saws in forests or harvesting machines on fields. It was designed with permanent all-wheel drive, with equal-size wheels, in order to be driven on roads at higher speeds than standard farm tractors. With their very high ground clearance and a flexible frame that is essentially a part of the suspension, Unimogs are not designed to carry as much load as regular trucks.

Due to their off-road capabilities, Unimogs can be found in jungles, mountains and deserts as military vehicles, fire fighters, expedition campers, and even in competitions like truck trials and Dakar Rally rally raids. In Western Europe, they are commonly used as snowploughs, municipal equipment carriers, agricultural implements, forest ranger vehicles, construction equipment or road-rail vehicles and as army personnel or equipment carriers (in its armoured military version).

London General route 507: Waterloo Station, Upper Taxi Road - Victoria Station

Departed Strutton Ground (SJ), towards Westminster City Hall (SB)

London General have retained route 507 from Waterloo (RA) with new Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC EVs, the new contract starting from 27 August 2016.

The new buses started entering service a few days late on 30 August. They are the first products from the new Alexander Dennis-BYD partnership, ADL providing the Enviro200 MMC bodywork with BYD supplying their K9E drivetrain.

Go-Ahead have introduced a new lower-case lettering, SEe, for the vehicles to differentiate them between their Enviro200 diesel SE-coded equivalents, a first for the London bus fleet numbering system. More coming soon on London Connected.

Not long after arriving at Iron Junction for the morning, we found a loaded taconite train swinging off the wye heading for Two Harbors. With temps still around 28 degrees, a small amount of steam was still coming off the fresh pellets.

this is the noise from the cable as the tram approaches, sort of a little creepy.

Any other information on this vehicle would be much appreciated

I thought it would be a fun challenge to use sand red as a primary color for something. A small planetary rover seemed the ideal choice to me.

After seeing Cole Blaq's latest vehicular delight, I was forced to finish this.

I also find that the new canopies are much more suited to ground vehicles than space ship in my opinion.

I also incorporated a fun steering function not unlike the one used in the new Clone Turbo Tank.

The American LaFrance Fire Engine Company is one of the oldest fire apparatus manufacturers in America. With roots that go back to approximately 1832, the companies that went on to become American LaFrance built hand-drawn, horse-drawn, and steam-powered fire engines. Founded in 1873 by Truckson LaFrance and his partners as the LaFrance Manufacturing Company selling hand powered equipment.

The International Fire Engine Company, corporate predecessor of American LaFrance, built some steam power fire engines between 1903-1907. Apparatus built by International included horse drawn steamers, hose wagons, and hook & ladders to chemical engines, water towers and combinations.

The American LaFrance Fire Engine Company was formed in 1903. Its corporate offices and manufacturing plant were in Elmira, New York. It also operated a Canadian plant in Toronto, Ontario, where it sold apparatus under the name Lafrance-Foamite, until 1971. ALF delivered its first motorized fire engine in 1907. Over the years, American LaFrance built thousands of fire trucks including chemical engines, combination pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, Aero Chief snorkel trucks, and airport crash trucks.

The classical style of the American LaFrance apparatus is easily recognized. Some of the company's innovations led to changes in the industry, most notably the cab forward style cab. The company has recently undergone a major rebirth and is once again producing custom fire trucks and other emergency vehicles.

I've always had a thing for utilitarian vehicles. Tractors. Tug boats. Ferries. Trucks. That kind of thing. And a special kind of respect for the people who make them run. So it was doubly poignant on the weekend when we saw the Titanic exhibit at the Royal BC Museum with Mike's folks.

You see... Mike's dad grew up on the waterfront east of Vancouver. His dad (Mike's grandpa) worked on the big ocean tugs that hauled stuff between Vancouver Island and the mainland, way back when. And his brother (Mike's dad's uncle) worked on ocean liners... and you can guess the rest. He was on, and among the many souls who went down with, the Titanic.

I hadn't known this fascinating bit of family history until we heard the exhibit was coming to town. Mike's folks came over from the mainland to see it, and it was quite the experience... after being steeped in Titanica for a few hours... to see the family name there on the list of crew who were lost.

I'm proud to come from a long line of hardworking people, and to have married into a family with the same kind of background. And I'll always find something like this truck more appealing than anything new and fancy.

Saludos a Luis.

The approximate 195 tons trailing load of six Mark I vehicles plus the 109 tons of the locomotive is obviously on this occasion to much for the 1470 bhp available to 31421 to get it up the Lickey bank as it has picked up the two class 37 bankers to give it a shove up the hill. The class 31, 2x class 37 combination is seen here as they start to accelerate away from the standing start as they approach Bromsgrove station and the start of the bank, 14th April 1979.

Locomotive History

31421 was originally D5558 and was built in 1959. The class were built with even less powerful Mirrlees JVS12T 1250bhp engines but the engines were not successful and in 1964 a programme of works commenced to re-engine the fleet with the more powerful 1470bhp English Electric 12SVT engine. Under the 1973 TOPS renumbering scheme D5558 became 31140. During the 1970’s a number of class 31’s were fitted with electric train heating equipment for both secondary passenger duties and empty coaching stock duties between carriage depots and stations. 31140 was fitted with electric train heating and dual braking equipment during a classified repair at Doncaster works in the autumn of 1974. It was released into traffic in November 1974, renumbered 31421 and allocated to Cricklewood for empty coaching stock duties between Cricklewood and St Pancras. Despite being somewhat underpowered it would give thirty eight years service and would remain in traffic until withdrawn in March 1997. Following withdrawal it was stored in Crewe South Yard for a number of years until moved to Carnforth in January 2003. This was followed in September 2003 with a move to the Midland Railway Centre at Swanwick. However preservation passed it by and in April 2007 it was transported by road to EMR Kingsbury and broken up in August 2007.
