My first paper toy design.

Group button shot! Now with sailor folk.

Still waiting on the poly bags for packaging. Otherwise these are ready to ship!

I did the vector art first in Illustrator then I brought it over to Photoshop to add the lighting effects. I also used the color halftone filters to create the textures.

Done 1 year after the original Who Said What Art Show began, this piece is part of a quartet in which a new style of illustration was explored, making use of a more intricate background.

Samuel L. Jackson original said "If you have an opportunity to use your voice you should use it." in an interview discussing his acting career, and encouraging other actors to use their abilities.

.: Hanging in the home of Alex Dinsmore :.

Detail from www.flickr.com/photos/bonnetmaker/5356359757/:

• [left]: a segment of Henry Holiday's illustration to The Banker's Fate (after his encounter with the Bandersnatch) in Lewis Carroll's The Hunting of the Snark (1876) and

• [right]: a horizontally compressed segment of The Image Breakers (1566-1568), an etching by Marcus Gheeraerts the Elder. The resemblance of the "noses" is obvious once you mirror the nose in this image about a horizontal axis.

Reinterpratation of shapes (examples):

• The segment of the spectacle frame is less obvious. Blurr the corresponding segment in Gheeraert's etching and you understand how Henry Holiday worked here (blue box). Another segment of the spectacle frame additionally has been black&white inverted (green box).

• A cross(?) in Gheeraert's etching turns into a rectangular nostril. Holiday kept it rectangular in his illustration (yellow box).

Commission portrait. I tried a different method of coloring this time and kind of like it. :)

Inspired from a piece I saw on the internet. It spells out the Shahadah - that is the Islamic declaration of Faith (in Kufi Arabic) and written artistically in the shape of a Maasjid (Mosque) with a dome and two minarets (towers). The transliteration is at the bottom of the graphic, together with the English tranlation: "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad (S.A.W) is His Messanger".

Please feel free to comment. I enjoy constructive criticism also!

I planned out the artwork in Photoshop CS4 an finalized it in Illustrator.

The photo is only a mockup of the stencil art on a wall.

Slowly starting to set myself up as a business so put together this logo for myself to go on letterheads, business cards etc.

This is a poster I did for the Customer Service Appreciation Week. The heart/headset combo serves as a logo that can go on other documents as well.
