These F-type variable spring supports are fabricated from carbon steel with a hot dipped galvanized finish and designed with guided load columns to provide stability for minimum lateral movement. The fig. 46 pipe saddles are also fabricated from carbon steel with a HDG finish and lined with PTFE, 25% glass filled material. The pipe saddles are designed for 8" to 36" diameter pipe sizes, and the entire assembly is 50" in height. These variable-saddle support assemblies are capable of supporting up to 22,300 lb. and 1" vertical movements. We performed standard spring loading tests and a Q.C. inspection prior to shipping to an offshore oil and gas platform near Malaysia.

This is a photograph from the 6th annual running of the Meath Spring Half Marathon and 10KM Road Races and Fun Runs which were promoted and hosted by Bohermeen Athletic Club at Bohermeen, Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland on Sunday 11th of March 2018 at 11:00. The half marathon consists of a 11KM and 10KM repeated loop around the roads of Bohermeen and Oristown. The 10KM race just completes the 2nd part of the half marathon. The finish line is on the running track within Bohermeen Community Center. The course is a fast fair course with a few small hills. In 2016 the original course was 'reversed' which just meant that the traditional course changed to accommodate the large number of participants and the narrow country roads on which both the race participants and race traffic must both share before, during and after the race. Most runners agreed that this made the course much faster as a result. This year there was a total of over 1,000 participants in both races.
The other great variable in road racing - the weather - was dry, clear and compared to recent weeks unseasonably warm. At several parts of the course there was a slight headwind which made these sections that little more difficult. Temperatures were around 10C-12C.
The race also includes the 45th Rennicks Cup (Men's overall team) and the 42nd Father Delany Cup (Women's overall team).
Bohermeen AC is steeped in Irish athletics history since 1927 and it is this experience and exceptional community spirit and volunteering which has made this event today so successful. Having now organised the event for six years running it is certain that the event will continue to grow and expand become one of the mainstays on the Irish athletic club road racing calendar for many years to come.
This race takes place about one month after the Supervalu 10 Mile Road Race in Trim (just down the road from Bohermeen). Indeed these races truly kick-start the whole road racing season of fixtures amongst the clubs in Meath who are now famous for the quality and standard of the road races staged and organised.
The race is supported by substantial local sponsorship from businesses in the local area. McNally Logistics and Transportation are the main sponsors of this year's event. The company specialises in national and international haulage.

This F-type variable spring support was customized with a wire rope isolator for a facility located in Canada. The variable spring was designed for a load of 12,000 lb. The wire rope isolator is essentially a 1.25" diameter stainless steel rope looped eight times between two chemically conversion coated aluminum alloy retaining bars. The wire rope isolator is effective in vibration isolation and energy absorption.

This view of the Langley Laboratory's Variable Density Tunnel (VDT) shows its access door open at right and one of the air compressors in the left background. For several years, Building 60-A had the corrugated iron siding visible here. Although the steel structure stayed in place, the siding was replaced with brick when this area was joined to new Building 60-B (now 582-A), constructed to support the Low-Turbulence Pressure Tunnel.

This custom designed variable spring assembly is comprised of a standard PTP-1-160 type F variable spring with a supplementary extension and load flange with a stainless steel slide plate. The variable is fabricated entirely from carbon steel with a hot-dipped galvanize finish. The extension is schedule 40 pipe, 8" in diameter and 12-5/16" in height. The slide plate is fabricated from A240 grade stainless steel and is welded to the top of the load flange. This support will be used underneath a 16" diameter pipe with a dummy leg. It is designed for 1/16" vertical travel and 1/8" horizontal travel for an oil refinery in Algeria.

The Variable Hawk (Buteo polyosoma) is a polymorphic species of bird of prey in the Accipitridae family. It is widespread and often common in open habitats in western and southern South America, including the Falkland Islands. Its taxonomy is disputed, with some splitting it into the widespread Red-backed Hawk (B. polyosoma) and the Puna Hawk (B. poecilochrous) of the central and north Andean highlands, but the differences between the two are unclear, and consequently recent authorities have recommended treating them as a single species. On the contrary, the rare taxon from the Juan Fernández Islands is relatively distinctive, and possibly worthy of species recognition as the Juan Fernández Hawk (B. exsul).
The name Variable Hawk is fully deserved, as both sexes occur in several morphs. Adults of all have a white tail with a contrasting black subteminal band and grey wings barred dark (in flight from below, the remiges appear whitish with fine barring and a broad black tip). The remaining plumage varies from very dark grey to whitish, and some individuals have reddish-brown to the underparts. Females usually have a reddish-brown back, which males usually lack, although at least some males also have this. The taxon exsul from the Juan Fernández Islands is far less variable, being whitish below and grey above in adults of both sexes

This project included various spring sizes from PTP-1 30 C-type to PTP-4 160 F-type assemblies. The variables are fabricated from carbon steel, galvanized and coated with a special 3-coat paint system to protect against corrosive byproducts such as sulphur. The F-types include 304 stainless steel and PTFE, 25% glass filled slide plate assemblies.

Su nido consiste en una taza ligera de paredes delgadas, construida de raicillas rÃgidas y fibras, con un forro de unos pocos filamentos fúngicos o pelos de caballo, agarrada con telarañas a una horqueta en un árbol o arbusto, y a una altura de 0.8 a 6 m.; en raras ocasiones se localiza a 9 m.
Ponen 2 huevos y raras veces 3, de color gris pálido o gris azulado, con salpicaduras y manchones café, y a menudo con manchitas y rayones negros. Se reproducen de mayo a agosto. Por otra parte, existe un pequeño perÃodo de crÃa entre noviembre y enero. Ponen 2 nidadas al año
Alimentación
Se alimentan de semillas de pasto, bayas y semillas de árboles y arbustos. También consumen algo de insectos.
Comportamiento
Forman grupos pequeños, aunque a menudo forman bandadas con otros semilleros del gallito negro (Volatinia jacarina) y espigueros.
Con frecuencia, los machos cantan en la parte bien alta de un árbol.
Habitat y Distribución

Frecuentan matorrales bajos, jardines, bordes de carretera y de bosque, lotes grandes de pastos altos con semillas, campos o potreros enmalezados. Por otro lado, se desplazan entre claros y atraviesan cinturones de bosque
Distribución
Es una especie abundante a lo largo de las bajuras y piedemontes del lado del Caribe. En el lado del PacÃfico es común desde Panamá hacia el norte, aproximadamente hasta el Parque Nacional Carara, y de poco común a rara hacia el norte hasta los alrededores de Cañas y la cabecera del Golfo de Nicoya. No se conoce en el Valle Central. Se localiza desde el nivel del mar hasta los 1500 m., y en ocasiones a mayores alturas en la vertiente del Caribe.
Distribución fuera de Costa Rica
Se encuentran desde el sur de México hasta el noroeste de Perú.

Mide 10.5 cm. y pesa 11 grs. En el lado del Caribe, la mejor forma de distinguir a los machos de otros semilleros negros, es por el pico convexo de Sporophila; la hembra es más opaca y café que la de otros semilleros. En el lado del PacÃfico los machos difieren de Sporophila torqueola por carecer de garganta blanca, collar completo y barras alares; las hembras no muestran ningún patrón excepto el abdomen blancuzco.
El macho adulto de la raza del Caribe es completamente negro, excepto por la base de las primarias internas, el forro de las alas y la lÃnea media del abdomen, que son blancos. La raza del PacÃfico es negra por encima, con la rabadilla blanca. Las alas son similares a las de la raza caribeña, y presentan manchas blancas anchas a cada lado del cuello, que se adelgazan o desaparecen en el cuello. El resto de la cabeza, cuello, garganta, pecho y muslos son de color negro, y el resto de las partes inferiores son blanco con un barreteado negruzco indistinto en el costado y los flancos. El pico es negro y las patas negruzcas.
La hembra de la raza del Caribe es café oliva oscuro por encima, más pálido por debajo, y el forro de las alas es blanco. La raza del PacÃfico es oliva por encima, más pálida por debajo, y se torna blanco amarillento opaco en el abdomen y la región anal. El forro alar es blanco.
Los ejemplares juveniles son similares a la hembra adulta de su raza. Los machos jóvenes pueden no adquirir el plumaje de adulto completo en su primer año y reproducirse con un plumaje más o menos jaspeado.
