I sculpted the bat charm out of glittery purple polymer clay. He has bright red gem eyes and is set on a sturdy barrette with double bows in black and purple.

Different view and lighting. The bat and the detail on his wings is just lovely. If I follow the logic of how the storytelling of these pieces works, I am going to guess this man was tempted, and perhaps caused some harm in his life, so when he died, his spirit took the form of a bat. I'm thinking he wasn't going to heaven, I dunno...
vampire bat hanging felt mobile, all hand sewn and i made the bats from my original drawing. Perfect Halloween decoration.
I'm a regular contributor to the independent comics and art magazine Taffy Hips, edited by Zara Messano (http://flickr.com/photos/ocelot_trot) and Gil Gentile. I was commissioned to illustrate October's issue, and October being my power month, I went to town. I'm really grateful to Taffy Hips for giving me a venue for showcasing my stuff, and for gathering a diverse yet like-minded group of artists under one publication.
Taffy Hips magazine is always accepting submissions! Check it out at taffyhips.blogspot.com , and read some press about it here:
