The environmental issues that have changed over the years, the flooding and increased downpour, have caused greater appreciation for the way we value landscapes, like the Mill Creek Canyon Park. The Earthwork was said to have helped downtown Kent from rising floodwaters which supports the point that our values have increased for landscapes that help regulate nature's fluctuations and change.
Without the landscape, people would not be able to live in Kent because of the increased flooding--reason for us to appreciate the land.
Man comes to realize he would have no dance without nature as his/her partner.
This is the picture I chose to represent the element of design of 'Value'. This exemplifies value fairly good because it has all the shades of blue. From the darkest shade, which almost looks like black, to the lightest shade. A very light blue. And everything in between!

As part of the ALSO! Project, I took photographs of existing design in the Terminal Stores Building. These photographs show that design was already present in this space before the Wanted Design 2013 show brought in new furniture and design. Design is all around us if we take the time to look.
