Still feeling scrappy, so I'm sticking with the 2.5 inch squares. The Call of the Scraps was a value top with no regard for the colors, How Zebras Think They Look was a color progression, with no regard for values. This time I'd like to combine light to dark turquoise with a white to black color progression. I'd like this to come out from an off center light point in kind of a spiky way. We'll see if it works and, if not, I'll just pick up the four patches and find another arrangement :)
A visit on the Easter Bank Holiday Monday afternoon to The Firs: Edward Elgar's Birthplace Museum in Worcestershire.
The Firs: Birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar in Lower Broadheath, Worcestershire, England is a museum dedicated to the English composer Edward Elgar. On 1 September 2017 the museum reopened under National Trust stewardship. Elgar was born here on 2 June 1857, and lived here until his family moved to Worcester two years later. The museum comprises the Birthplace Cottage and its garden, and the modern Elgar Centre, opened in 2000, which houses further exhibitions and a function room.
The Museum displays give an insight into Elgar the man and social history as well as an opportunity to see original music manuscripts. In addition to autograph music manuscripts, the Museum collection includes around 11,000 letters from and to Elgar, his friends and family; proofs, programmes and other items connected with Elgar's music; family photographs and scrapbooks; items connected with his travels and with his hobbies including golf and cycling; personal possessions, awards and honours, and film of his later years. The cottage was established as a museum in 1934, on Elgar's death, by his daughter Carice Elgar Blake.
For the five years 2017–2021 the museum will be administered by the National Trust on behalf of The Elgar Foundation. It greatly values the support it receives from generous donors and its friends including the Elgar Society. It has Accredited Museum status from the Arts Council England.
Elgar's Birthplace cottage was originally called Newbury Cottage, and is in the village of Lower Broadheath.

House. Mid C19. Brick, parallel roof ridges, slate to front, tiled to rear,brick end stacks. Two storeys; dentilled eaves cornice; two-celled plan. Front elevation: four windows are sixteen-pane sashes, ground floor windows have cambered heads; central entrance has gabled porch on timber uprights, decorated bargeboards and central pendant; panelled door with cambered head.
Coach house and stables, built by Sir Edward Elgar's father and uncle, W H Elgar and Henry Elgar, adjoin to left. Birthplace and home of Sir Edward Elgar (1857-1934) from 1857 to 1859.

NHS Values Summits bring together a diverse range of people and perspectives to foster greater understanding of how peoples' differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.
Held on a quarterly basis across the country, each summit promotes values-based ways of working and explores a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights.
The theme of this NHS Values Summit, held on 18th September 2013, was entitled 'Making it happen in Greater Manchester: Integrated care across organisations'. Patient-centred care that is well co-ordinated across care settings and over time is better for all but can particularly benefit patients with long-term, chronic or complex conditions and those who may find it difficult to 'navigate' the health care system.
The Greater Manchester summit was held during National Recovery Month. This provided an opportunity for people to share their recovery stories with others and celebrate their successes, promoting the benefits of prevention, treatment and recovery for those experiencing mental health or substance misuse issues.
As a celebration of shared learning and partnership working, NHS England is pleased to welcome patients and the public, representatives from health and social care, and stakeholders from the private and voluntary/community sectors to these important events.

I had purchased a season of tickets for the seats in the Value Deck. The view was definitely great, but the crowd up there was a bit tamer. Old school folks with handheld radios and scorecards. I decided to join them in scoring cards!

Majority of smallholder farmers in Babati are engaged only in farming and have no influence over the management or participation in their product value chains. Such farmers are not well connected to markets, so their production is not well tailored to what the markets need. Africa RISING partners have therefore been implementing specific activities to link these farmers to profitable markets.
A first step to their integration in the value chain was to support these farmers to improve their farming skills through use of improved seeds and fertilizers in their cereal-legumes value chain so that they could produce higher yields of more consistent quality and better suited to the market.
Taking a marketing approach, the team brought the farmers together to strengthen their competitive advantage at the point of sale by improving quality, quantity and time of delivery through collective action. This also enables them to access marketing information readily. A total of eighteen (18) farmer groups have been established/strengthened in ten (10) villages and have been trained on the use of improved seeds and fertilizers to increase production, value chain concept, marketing and agri-business skills and how to use e-soko to access market information. They have also been linked to big maize/pigeonpea/common beans traders in the district like Export Trading Group, Bajwa Farmers and Traders, Monaban, and Mohamed Enterprises Ltd, who can buy their produce at harvesting, or through some contracts arrangements.

The anthropomorphized owl and snake designs are age old symbols of Man’s (and the universe’s) dual nature – earth and heaven – positive and negative – light and dark – existence and non existence – good and evil – common and uncommon, etc. This type of clay is used by many indigenous groups and is a very common material. The Taos people use it for everyday utensils such as their famous bean pots. This form is a pickle barrel and it could actually be used to make pickles. The glazes are food safe. This piece has been low fired so the exterior is still a little bit porous. It should not be left outside.
I was born in Moscow, ID in 1951. My father was born in Sandpoint in 1910. I’ve lived in Sandpoint since 1978. I received my BFA from the University of Idaho, and my master’s degree at the University of Idaho. I have taught art in Sandpoint and Bonner’s Ferry since 1978. I am retiring after next school year so I can finally be a “real artist”.
