The Hofstra-Digital Remedy Venture Challenge is an annual entrepreneurship competition for Hofstra students administered by the Hofstra University Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship with total prizes valued at $$76,500, made possible through the donation of a Hofstra Board Trustee and CEO of Digital Remedy, Mike Seiman. The competition is in its eleventh year at Hofstra University.
We are looking for business ideas that demonstrate scalability, the identification of a unique problem, and has a qualified team in place to execute the idea. The Challenge offers a great experience and is a resume builder for any career path.

1k Industries aims to make personalized wheelchair accessories that help bling out people’s wheelchairs. We design a product all wheelchair users can personalize to fit their chair and personality. We then create a unique software that makes the personalized product from user inputs. This design is then uploaded to a 3D printer for creation.

BoJo –
BoJo is a platform for high-school students and high-school counselors. On our platform students create profiles where they answer questions about their college preferences and their academic results. Based on that information students are matched with universities. The counselors get access to the profiles and matches of their students. With that information in hand, they can better guide their journey of finding a college.

Bubble Green addresses the problem of environmental harm and plastic waste in delivery packaging by turning an invasive plant species, water hyacinth, into sustainable zero-waste packaging filler, offering businesses an eco-friendly alternative to plastic bubble wrap. This approach can have a positive social impact by helping to protect the environment and natural resources for future generations while promoting sustainable business practices.

Edward William Routh Clarke was born in 1859, Norfolk the son of William Robert Clarke and Elizabeth Routh. He married Ada Raikes 1880, Norfolk. He died 15th March 1907; his wife Ada, nee Raikes, Clarke, the daughter of Francis Francis Raikes and Martha Berkeley was born in 1861 she died the 7th October 1909.

Krushevo is one of the cities in Macedonia that has a profound cultural and historical value. Once a thriving city that was a refuge for the Macedonian people from the Ottomans, now a top tourist destination. At 1,350m above sea level Krushevo is the highest settlement classified as a city in the Balkans. An integral part of the Baba Mountain this small city that today counts only 9,684 citizens, that has a special part in Macedonian culture and history, at one point in history it was its own Republic.
For Macedonians, Krushevo is a synonym to the centuries long struggle against Ottoman rule, culminating with the Ilinden Uprising when the freed area was declared a Republic which unfortunately only lasted 10 days, from 2nd of August to the 12th of August, 1903. The rebellion was lead by Macedonian greats Nikola Karev and Pitu Guli. Today the statue Mechkin Kamen stands tall to commemorate the last moments of the uprising when the revolutionaries were killed and Krushevo was burned by an 18,000 strong Ottoman army. Therefore each year on the 2nd of August there are traditional manifestations that take place commemorating this achievement of our ancestors. A traditional horsemen march takes place from the capital Skopje to Krushevo which is led by a significant public figure.
Another monument highly identifiable with Krushevo is "Makedonium" which is a massive structure overlooking the city built to commemorate the same uprising. Makedonium is with unusual architecture and a mixture of everything which was built during Yugoslavian times.
Krushevo is also well known for the astonishing old Macedonian architecture throughout the city. Here the secluded location played in its favor, helping preserve the traditional houses and buildings which were constructed during its glory years. In 1926 Krushevo was visited by one of history's great architects, Le Corbusier (Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris), who was said to be a great fan of the local architecture.
Krushevo is also the home town of one of the most beloved Macedonian singers, Toshe Proeski, who passed away in a tragic car accident aged 26. In his honour there is a memorial house portraying his generosity, amazing voice and commitement to his nation during his short life and career.

We live in a hyper-technological society in which family life is failing, a world where we can learn anything except how to be parents; how to raise children with values and limits, how to say No more often, how to discipline them.
It is said that we must raise children in freedom. No demands on them. Let them dictate their own rules and do as they please. These are well-intentioned mistakes whose consequences we are paying for daily: children and adolescents who run away, commit suicide, kill and drug themselves.
The absence of the mother in the home and the weakening of fatherly authority have become a central issue of a daily reality that threatens to destroy the family as an institution. Alone, in front of a computer our children grow up in a state of emotional emptiness. Consequently, they do not grow up. Christina Balinotti provides an enlightening handbook designed to show mothers (and fathers) how to lead and strengthen the family. It is a defense of the most important and significant event of human experience: parenthood.
Christina Balinotti is an Argentine author and lecturer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences with graduate studies in Psychology including three years of special studies in Philosophy and Literature in her native Buenos Aires. She also has ample knowledge in the field of quantum physics.
She has resided in Miami since the year 2000, where she works as an international analyst on TV and Radio, investigating the crimes and suicides of our young people and their relationship to maternal absence during a child’s early years in this and in other developed societies.
Through her Foundation, Holistic Femininity, Christina Balinotti organizes conferences and annual workshops at several Florida universities (FIU, UM, SUAGM) as well as in important venues in Miami for the purpose of educating women in the essential recovery of family values and in the pathways of holistic femininity, all free of charge.
In 2013 she hosted a radio show at Radio Nova Internacional as well as a weekly TV Show at Telemiami in which she, together with other professionals, including sociologists, historians and psychologists, analyzed the role of women in Western cultures. Proud mother and grandmother.

New Zealand prides itself on its forward thinking attitude towards women’s rights and life choices, having been the first in the world to support women’s suffrage. In reality, many women today continue to experience pressure to conform to outdated gender roles.
Tools of the Trade (2019) is part of a series of works that confront gender-specific stereotypes placed on women. This work uses a binary strategy to portray this topic, as well as incorporating an element of subtle humour into the project. This element of wit in the work operates to expose the characteristics of today’s political climate for women in the workforce, despite the Third Wave feminist movement operating in a Western culture, of which I am a part.
Tools of the Trade aims to convey that sexist expectations targeted towards women are still alive and well in contemporary New Zealand, and that the value of women’s labour is a topic that still needs to be debated.

2) The subject matter is the deep blue water and the texture in the walls around it.
3) I think that the water is visually striking in the way it fades from the light blue into the dark blue.

This shot is a depiction of the element Value, because of the many different shades of gray in the image which comes from the CN Tower reflected on the Delta building. It is a representation of urban landscape. The reflection on the Delta building really pull in the audience as it gives the image a modern look. Also if the angle the photo was taken at was a bit shifted the photo would look more filled and gorgeous.
