Here's me pondering the mysteries of how dirt can get harder than concrete !!

I had a power auger but even it kept sticking. Nonetheless all the subframe got mounted to concrete piers after we hand dug the holes, ugh !!

came out pretty well, it looks like real brick even close up. The shelves now have a clean look without cumbersome brackets. This also frees up more space between the shelves.

Secure and elegant. Incorporates beautifully into the beachside Venice landscape.

This was a former carport that was so badly neglected, no-one even wanted to go outside any more. We're all here for the weather folks, let's make the most of it !!

The existing brick stucco fence staggered down from a 5ft to a 3 ft fence running the full length of the property till the front of the house and graduates to an 8 ft T & G fence where it meets at property front.

As it stood this 'fence' was little more than a demarcation between properties. It offerred no privacy OR secuity for either neighbor.

for making Amy's Bargain Basement quilt! I've had the repro fabrics here pulled for a project for a MONTH, but realized I could add some other things for interest and have a low-medium-dark value stack. Hooray for procrastinating, I'll end up with a better quilt, I think!

Charcoal sacs being sold in a market, Yangambi, DRC. In order to have a good charcoal that people would buy the wood must be hard. Each oven produces from 10 to 15 big sacs of charcoal that are sold at 4usd in the local market and 11usd in Kisangani. Two weeks are required to cut and gather the wood and the time needed to burn it is around 10 days. Transportation costs are very high so profit is normally low.

This is probably my favourite trail in Squamish: tricky enough to keep you on your toes, but still very flowy.

I've been trying to take a picture of this spot for a while, and this is the best I've got so far -- you can't see how steep it is, but at least there's a sense of disorientation.
