An NS high hood is 3rd in the line up. This train sat unmanned for more than 12 hours and when finally underway she brakes down just past the Scioto diamond holding things up for several hours. 2 engines from another train came to the rescue and pulled it to Delaware to get it out of the way.

While walking along the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath, I was itching for something that looked like Spring was coming...unfortunately, that was tougher to find than I thought! I took a jaunt into the forest alongside the path, looking for some buds, a flower, anything at all, and these lonley little buds on a tree were all I could find. It was cool to get in close and spot all of the details of the small buds that will become flowers and then leaves as the season settles in.
This was take almost at the minimum focusing distance for my ZD 50mm lens, with my Metz 48 flash handheld down and to the left of the camera.
Winter in Yosemite National Park can be a beautiful place with spectacular sunsets and snowy foregrounds. The iconic El Capitan stands in the background with melting snow sitting atop reeds along the banks of the Merced river forming the foreground.
