The two valleys are in the most arid Atacama: the absolute desert, where there is no trace of vegetation. The amazing thing is that we see beauty in such desolation.
This natural sculpture is called Orion. Already the natives call "Penitents." A sand dune-gray background is sometimes infinite.

The wind, the heartache, time and desert sand form continually changing landscapes that never cease to revolverem in beautiful shapes. There is nothing there, not a plant or an insect, unless you and different types of sand, salt, gypsum and ground. Although the heat, the Valley of the Moon is a place of peace, calm and quiet.
It is a beautiful region.
Due to total lack of rain, the visibility is exceptional and the Atacama region is considered the best place on the planet for astronomical research.
