It is a Hell of a Hoover.
Ok, so technically it isn't a "Hoover" at all, but rather a whole house vacuum cleaner as installed in the basement of Eltham Palace with pipes going to wall sockets in all the rooms.
No need for the maids to carry dustpan and brushes or portable cleaners around the house. Just plug in a hose where you need it.

First time I see this vacuumcleaner mouth scraping the sand. You can also clearly see it's light sensitive organs here.
They are known to eat acoel worms (at least Chelidonura hirundinina is)

Here you see also the side wall of the hotellerie. More to the right you see the wall of the library, and to a small building what is a storage for household stuff, like buckets, brooms, kitchen paper, soap, and so on.
All articles are chosen from out of the ecological principle, the soap (for laundry, dishes, body) is ecological, the toilet paper is recycled paper, the brooms are used instead of vacuumcleaners.
