Regnbågen visade sig en kort stund vid vårt besök i naturreservatet Nävsjön.

The rainbow appeared for a short while during our visit to the Nävsjön nature reserve.
This bewick's wren jumped over to a branch near me at Commonwealth Lake. I did what any photographer would do, trying my best to present a nice portrait for the cooperative subject!

Visited a tropical butterfly garden during a rainy day last week. It turned out there were a few tropical birds flying around the place as well.
It wasn't long before the butterflies became of secondary interest and I was trying to get nice shots of the birds :)
This is my favourite of the day. I had never seen this species before either, so a nice takeaway overall.
I am blessed to have cardinals around my place year round. They say when one visits it is angels visiting. I like that. Peace to you all my friends.
This male Downy woodpecker came to visit our yard, and worked his way to an area with a clean background.

I went over to Greenway for a short walk today - it was raining off and on. I was keeping my eye on a Great Blue Heron, when this female common yellowthroat came over for a visit. I suspect that I was near a nest, as she wasn't shy in approaching me, and continued to linger in the area as long as I did, so I moved on. She didn't follow.

Das Alte Rathaus in Leipzig – die Ostseite des Marktes der Messestadt dominierend – gilt als einer der bedeutendsten deutschen Profanbauten der Renaissance. An seiner Rückseite liegt der Naschmarkt. Bürgermeister und Stadtverwaltung sind seit 1905 im Neuen Rathaus untergebracht.
The Old Town Hall in Leipzig – dominating the east side of the market square in the trade fair city – is considered one of the most important German secular buildings of the Renaissance. At the back is the Naschmarkt. The mayor and city administration have been housed in the new town hall since 1905.

Clouds in the sky after a rainy morning. I went to Oak Canyon to get out and smell the fresh air. This set was captured from the same spot on a hill top. I was lucky today. It was a good day.
I had seconds to get this shot. Good thing my camera was on and close to the correct settings.

Our Japanese cherry has not taken the cold well this year. In the meantime, all the blossoms have already fallen off!
This bald eagle popped in for a visit at Jackson Bottom, spent a bit of time in a tree, then soared off again. Both times it was in flight, all the water fowl scattered.
