This convertible is a mid-1950's Chevrolet. Havana, Cuba is famous for these vintage cars that owners have lovingly maintained since the revolution and the U.S. embargo that followed. Many still have the original engines that belch out copious amounts of exhaust. For a reasonable fee they will give you a nice tour of new Havana, the areas immediately around the old colonial center.

When our tour bus stopped at the carpark in front of the San Carlone statue and church in Arona, these car enthusiasts suddenly arrived with their "chariots", giving us an unexpected photo opportunity. Not sure what car this is but I think a red Mustang is parked beside it.

I spotted this beaten-up old timer on Well Street, Hackney.
Thanks to comments from better informed Flickr users I now know it to be a rat rod style Austin 7, a model of car from the mid-1930s.
This Philips 11RL463 portable radio was manufactured by the French Philips factory in Bobigny in 1966. It has three wavebands, MW, FM and LW, which was particularly important in France because the popular stations France Inter, Europe 1, RMC and RTL could be heard well on long wave in large parts of the country and beyond. So this receiver was ideally suited for this, it has a large loudspeaker that sounds good despite its plastic housing, was state-of-the-art with 9 transistors; and its 4 large "D" type batteries were absolutely long-lasting. Today, it can still keep up well on FM, while the era of transmitters on medium wave and long wave is coming to an end, at least in central Europe. It still works very well and it's such fun to use it!
