The photo shown above is an image of a booth that was demonstrating how a 3D printer works. This booth was full of cool and unique objects. Unfortunately, I could not get all those objects in one photo, so I took a photo of the printer itself, which thankfully had some objects around it. I did some minor touch ups to the photo itself. I chose to crop out most of the background because the objects were distracting, and the photo was cluttered. I choose to take the image with the Gestalt theory in mind. I believe this photo demonstrates the idea of similarity and proximity very well. The viewer can easily associate the objects surrounding the printer with the printer itself. If the objects were not by the printer the viewer wouldn’t associate them wit anything and they would lose their purpose. In addition, I thought that this image paired well with the other photos as well. The viewer can easily associated this image with the others because it is depicting some of the same concepts the others are, such as color and the rule of thirds.
