A seriously nice VC Val, which has been living at the same address as the Chevy Impala hardtop...
Mind you, the Val was even nicer when I first saw it a week back - since then, some idiot's driven into the back of it.
Bet it was a tinny piece of Jap-crap that hit it - and probably wrote itself off on all that good solid Chrysler steel! Meanwhile, a new bootlid, bumper and tail-light are now required (and some beating), and this gorgeous ol' Val will be as good as new again...
This one lives on Dalton Road, Thomastown.
Fairly clean, needs some minor work - just ready for a new owner!

View from the control tower at the AMC Museum, Dover AFB, DE of a VC-9C. This VC-9C, serial number 73-1682, transported America's top leadership from 1975 until 2011. Much of that time it served as Air Force Two for Vice Presidents Walter Mondale, George H.W. Bush, Dan Quayle, Al Gore and Dick Cheney.

Gelatin-silver photograph on Arista Edu Ultra FB VC photographic paper, image area 19.7cm X 24.5cm, exposed in contact with a Fomapan 200 negative. Camera was a Tachihara triple extension 8x10 field view camera with a Fujinon-W 300mm f5.6 lens. Signed, titled, and stamped verso.
The trees had grown in each others company for about 300 years but now one has died, one still flourishes; grace in life and death.
Would you credit it? Two VC Vals in the space of a few blocks, and both the same colour!

When I was in Beijing, I met with a well known VC. She retired from her work in the US and now lives in China managing a small fund. During our conversation about investing in start ups, she said something that really stood out to me. She said “I live in luxury now. I don’t have to spend time with people i don’t like. I have complete freedom to chose who I spend my time with.” Then I went to rural western Hunan. I was chatting with a farmer in a super rural and economically poor village in the mountains. We were in the middle of a conversation about how much money her kids (who are migrants in shenzhen) send to her every month and how she spends the money. I asked her if she had plans to move to the city when she’s older. She replied, “I have complete freedom here to spend my time as I wish. If i want to farm, I farm, If i want to see my neighbors, i see them. I dont have to be around people i don’t like. I’m so free here, I will never move.” (Side note - just earlier during the convo the farmer— a 50 yr old female—has to cook 2 meals a day for husband & others. She was complaining how the males won’t even stand up to get chopsticks - she has to deliver it to them!). I thought it was incredible how both the VC and farmer defined luxury.
