The Spitfire on display is a Mk. Vc (Trop) built for Supermarine under license by Vickers-Armstrong in June 1943. Shipped to Australia in September 1943, it served with the Royal Australian Air Force, and the museum acquired it from the Imperial War Museum in March 2000.

A seriously nice VC Val, which has been living at the same address as the Chevy Impala hardtop...
Mind you, the Val was even nicer when I first saw it a week back - since then, some idiot's driven into the back of it.
Bet it was a tinny piece of Jap-crap that hit it - and probably wrote itself off on all that good solid Chrysler steel! Meanwhile, a new bootlid, bumper and tail-light are now required (and some beating), and this gorgeous ol' Val will be as good as new again...

Four standout West Indies players from the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand were on the The University of the West Indies (UWI) Vice Chancellor’s team that lined up against Zimbabwe on Friday 26th February, 2010,at the Sir Frank Worrell Field, UWI Sport & Physical Education Centre (SPEC), in the 2010 Vice Chancellor’s XI cricket match, a practice match that paved the way for the Zimbabwean 2010 tour of the West Indies, comprising a five-match One Day International (ODI) series and a Twenty20 International. Trinidad and Tobago player Yannic Carriah join his Barbadian counterparts, opener Kraigg Brathwaite, wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich and fast bowler Jason Holder, in the 50-overs match at St Augustine, Trinidad.
The VC XI was captained by Simon Jackson (UWI Mona).
