Bryce Canyon looks utterly stunning covered in fresh snow!

Shouldn't be seen from Essex, UK!

A great place to sit and reflect. Grassi Lakes on a Saturday morning before most of the hikers arrive.

How utterly gorgeous is this orange flower? So vibrant even on what had been a very grey, cloudy day. Just poking through a garden fence to brighten my morning walk to work, had to stop for a moment to admire it and take a quick pic with the phone.

Fantasy Faire never ceases to amaze, year after year, with utterly gorgeous regions like Zodiac.

blogged.

It was an unusually challenging day for Stormtrooper Bruce, working security detail, trying to unravel the mysteries to all the recent break ins, but nothing taken. Now, all STB wants is a few uninterrupted hours to enjoy his dinner and unwind in front of the telly. But the universe had other plans.

STB: Well, this is totally unexpected! What's up with all these umbrellas?

STB: Oh, undoubtedly Little Dude was in the middle of setting things up, and I showed up too early.

STB: But, until he returns, maybe I can unclutter a space to sit and eat my...

UU: Unka Dude, Unka Dude! Guess who-o-o-oo?

STB: What in the universe it going on!? I give. Who are you, or better yet - where are you?

UU: It's me-e-e, Uriel the Unicorn. Doncha just love my displa-a-ay?

STB: Well, it's definitely unique! But you left Part B of my question unanswered - where are you?

UU: Right under your no-o-ose!

STB: You're starting to unnerve me with your uber creepy voice!

UU: That's accause I'm utterly exhau-u-usted. I dropped something under your bed hours ago, and got caught. Rather uncomfortable.

STB: You know, Pinocchio's nose grew when he told untruths. Wonder what grows on unicorns who fib?

UU: OK, OK! I confess - I was hiding. But unfortunately, I really am stuck. Totally unforeseen. Help me Unka Dude, you're my only hope!

Utterly adore this region...and the Quest has begun :)!

The utterly magnificent Mirage 2000D flown superbly by the pilots of the Armee de l'Air at RIAT 2018. Probably my last upload of a Mirage this year. Vive La France !

I found this spot for the first time on my last visit to San Francisco. Truth to be told, I took this picture less for the bridge than the foreground. I've even considered chopping everything but the deep dark rocks and that swirling, molten gold water.

I had a crab scare the hell out of me by walking across my shoe, in the dark, while I was focused on taking this picture. I nearly fell off the rock I was standing on, I was so surprised. I probably scared him even more, since I have size on my side.

The funny thing about these rocks is how utterly disgusting they are to walk on--covered in stinky seaweed and small squishy bits. I saw the dark rocks while walking along the shoreline, and thought they'd make a great foreground. The first step onto them was a bit of a surprise. :-) You sure can't beat that view, though.

Very simple, but there is just something that appeals to me about the colours and light. A couple of tiny waterdoplets on a tiny bird feather (in my kitchen, LOL). Makes me think of a winter scene with a delicate, snow-covered branch.

Finally got out for a very short walk this afternoon, to test my knees after landing very heavily on them last Tuesday, when I tried to jump across a small creek. Have stayed home the last four days to give them a chance to recover, so it was good to get a bit of fresh air today. Saw one of the few American Robins that overwinter in the city, too, which was a treat. It was the first Robin I'd seen this year. Nothing worth keeping as far as photos go : )

a utterly ravishing Sunset ....

a wonderfully tranquil Oceanview......

Puerto los Gatos, Gulf of California, Sea of Cortez, Mexico.

This is how I will always remember Switzerland; tranquil and utterly beautiful. I know there are many places in the world which are described as stunning, but rarely in my opinion does a place come close to being this perfect. It’s not a surprise really that its beauty transcends borders, every traveller, novice or bold, wants to pay this land a visit. And if you ask me everyone should, it’s got something for everyone, and if nothing interests you, just get a hot cuppa and look out of your window. You might see something that will never leave you.

This is my last photograph of Switzerland for a while. I really want to put up more but I made a promise to myself to cover more destinations and I am pressed for time. Hope you have enjoyed my Alpine Adventure.

Moths are of course utterly harmless. There is nothing on them that can inflict even the slightest damage on anything. Despite this, my boss think they are scary and his comment on this one which is a male featherd gothic (Tholera decimalis), was that it looks "nasty". What do you think?

HWW! I just liked the compositional interplay of angles and light, tied to reality by the shuttered window. One wonders why those living here did not want to let in this beautiful, summer mid-morning light. Maybe they were outdoors someplace, enjoying it!

Location: Riehen BS Switzerland.

Utterly unsharp but funny experiment I have taped my webcam on the long stick and used my mac remote to shot the photo, I think I'll not repeat this with my camera.

Utterly delightful, very busy bees - I just wish we had them in S. Yorks.

Every lavender bush I saw from Thames Ditton to Lewisham had at least one on it.

A view from the sky over the southeast wing of Dublin shows a scene that has not only changed but changed utterly! We haven't visited the "Monkey" Morgan Collection for some time and this is a cracker of a shot to show us just how interesting they can be. I'm curious about the apparent running track on the bottom right - Shelbourne Park perhaps?

out in the middle of this vast landscape, with absolutely no one else for miles and miles, AND with not only a stone fire ring (out of the picture on the right) but also a little stone bench to sit on and a GIANT stone table, all made from the nearby rocks. and what a view!!!!

A portrait of the utterly superb Fatoumata Diawara. I first came across her when she was a backing singer to Oumou Sangare at WOMAD 2009. She stood out like a beacon on stage then...such a great smile...and showing obvious joy in performing.

This is from her gig with Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca at WOMAD last year.

Just utterly precious. Need i say more?

Well, the face is really sweet, and i love those little paws!

When we visited this utterly charming Tea Room, there had been serious flooding earlier in the season leaving the bank and riverbed in shambles.

So... I used the Generative Fill in Photoshop to repair the damage in this photo.

I realize that AI in photography is a contentious topic, but my view (currently) is that it is just another tool, and if I use it in any significant way I will be up front about it, and have no guilt for doing so.

A Mountain Bluebird among many, March 2024

it's been utterly fruitless, searching for a shot today, weather is rubbish so I had to look for a thing, and this is not how you approach taking photos, "you" in this instance is "me" , you as "you" may well be approaching this thing totally different, in my case I don't look for a thing, I wait in ambush for the thing to come to me, waiting in ambush may well take form of walking, driving or sitting on a sofa or whatever but still, so me looking for a thing was a project bound to fail, and it did, all shots taken I disliked and I just have to pick one I dislike less intensely than others,

and it just so happens that "autumn leaf stuck in the dangly thing" seems to become an annual thing, I am sure there was similar sort of thing about a year ago ..

and I wanted to play myself out with Aimee Mann for no other reason than I listened to her today at work and she is one of my all time favourites and once I start playing her I can't stop for a bit and while browsing through clips and watching her outstanding Patient Zero I thought "hell, I wonder how old is she" and what I found doesn't make any sense to me, it doesn't make any sense in any known universe , Aimee Mann is going to be 60 this year, this is plain stupid and has to be .. i don't know what .. something has to be done about it ... it is just outright wrong. Some people are not allowed to change their age , Aimee is one of them, she has to always be 35 or something

Ria Formosa, Portugal -

Utterly unmistakable orange bird with a zebra-striped wings, a Chinese fan of a crest (usually held closed, but often raised just after landing), and a rapier of a bill. Favors semiopen habitats such as heathland, farmland, orchards, grassy lawns, where it feeds on the ground, probing with its long bill for insects. Flight fast and fairly direct, with rather deep wingbeats. Unlikely to be confused, but flight pattern and round wings may loosely resemble that of woodpeckers; note far longer and thinner bill.

This is an utterly unintentional optical illusion. It appears that the centre of the image stands up but it is, in fact, a small 'crater'.

The image is of a 20mm square part of a Cuttlefish I found on Skar Beach, port Talbot.

I t has a small indentation that I suspect is the result of some burrowing parasite. The item had been on the beach long enough for there to be algae growing & thus highlighting the contours in the original shell growth.

Utterly bonkers scenes this evening with Liverpool FC's Champions League victory parade passing along the waterfront as it neared its conclusion.

The three open toppers used were all Wright Gemini 2 integrals built new as hybrids for Arriva London. They later received new drivelines, still as hybrids, before passing to Crosville at Weston-super-Mare who subsequently converted them to part open toppers. They are now owned by The Bus Business of Oxfordshire as special event vehicles.

Canción cristiana | Todo lo que hay bajo la autoridad del Creador es perfectísimo

1

Todo lo que ha hecho Dios,

todo lo que se mueve y todo lo que no,

aves y peces, cada árbol y flor,

ganado, insectos y fauna silvestre,

todos estaban bien con Dios,

de acuerdo con Su plan,

en la cima de la perfección

logrando todo lo que Dios deseaba que lograran.

2

Paso a paso hizo Su obra,

...

Sometimes, a flame can be utterly extinguished. Sometimes, a flame can shrink and waver, but sometimes a flame refuses to go out. It flares up from the faintest ember to illuminate the darkness, to burn in spite of overwhelming odds.

Lake District, Buttermere, Summer 2024.

An utterly stunning and overwhelmingly beautiful sky overhead.

A mean, agile, and utterly ridiculous high-speed drift trike, the Chunkeh Munkeh is Gnasher Jack’s pride and joy, built for high-speed ambushes, hard-hitting firepower, and absolutely no subtlety. Jack stole the core power system from a Bastion during a particularly daring heist, and ever since, he’s been tearing through the Shattersea, cackling like a lunatic.

Key Features:

Dual 15mm Heavy Machine Guns – Mounted symmetrically on either side of the cockpit, these heavy hitters spit lead like a firehose, perfect for tearing up convoys, punching through armour, and sending a proper message. "Oi! You lot ever danced with a storm o’ bullets? ‘Cause now’s your chance!"

Lightweight G.A.S. Launcher (Dorsal Mounted) – A small but efficient Grav-Anchor System mounted directly to the frame, allowing Jack to hook onto gravity wells and slingshot himself into (or out of) trouble. He’s not the best at using it (”Ahh, just wing it, yeah?”), but it gets the job done.

Off-Road Long Travel Tricycle Suspension – The Chunkeh Munkeh’s absurdly long front fork absorbs the worst of the Shattersea’s terrain, while the rear wheel provide just the right amount of instability for those insane high-speed chases. It rides rough, unstable, and terrifyingly fast—just how Jack likes it.

Stolen Micro-Arc Reactor (Primary Power Source) – The real crown jewel—a compact, high-efficiency reactor Jack boosted from a Bastion vault. This rare piece of tech gives Chunkeh Munkeh near-limitless energy, allowing long-range raids, sustained combat, and an unhealthy amount of reckless stunts.

"Ohhh, don’t look so glum, mate! You’ve just been had by Gnasher Jack ‘imself! That’s a story worth tellin’, innit?"
