The Physical User Interface (PUI) for 2016 is a color selector based on the Wheel of Fortune. Give a swing to the wheel and the color is chosen where the wheel stops.
Two EV3 color sensors are used to read the actual color.

Got the brand new Smashing Book 2 in the mail today. I'm really looking forward to read it since I've ordered a copy for myself on the first day it was announced.
The screen had a lot of glare and was difficult to read. Even those experienced with it had to read the all caps sign to recall what to do.

Data explosion
Been playing around with my data and sketching ideas for my new blog engine that allows centralised
*input
-data
-metadata
*output
-data
-metadata
*metadata
-link b/w input/output internal/external data
-manipulate
-save
Why
The old blog engine sucks so I'm looking at replacing it. But I have a problem (and so do others) ~ data.
exploring
The other thing is I want this page to be both a auto-generated static page either/or ajax page generating content pulled from static RSS files.
Input should be via a simple REST protocol. Posting of data should be using 3rd party REST api's.
data
One of the downsides of the web2 stuff is the explosion of metadata that you need to add, enter, control ...
*tags
*descriptions
*urls
*dates
*images
*urls
*searches
*snippets of data
So what I'm looking at here is a way I can generate content then control the output to third party services
output
*flickr
-images
-image text
-image tags
-comments
-dates
-urls
*delicious
-tags
-urls
-text
-dates
-urls
-search terms
*blog posts
-posts
-urls
-images
-tags
-dates
-rss/atom feeds
*technorati
-pings
*thinglink
-image text
-images
-image tags
-replies
All this is generated then duplicated and updated but never entirely captured. If the services I use have a REST API that means I have a greater chance of controlling the generation via 1 source & saving the results.
Then there's input of data being pushed mainly via RSS. So you need stuff to handle & manage the input
input
-title
-dates
-who
*rss
-data feeds collected
-subject
*flickr images
-contact
-date
Collecting the data at generation builds a powerful personal db of stuff. Being able to do stuff with it useful.
What you see here is my
*flickr feeds
*google search
*post box
-where I add things to a db
urls
-some links to be auto generated from db via rss
*list view input
*rss feed of input
*svn view of code
More later.

Newscoop’s overhauled interface now looks and feels like the 21st century newsroom should. Sleek, modern styling and a workflow designed by journalists makes life that much easier.
How about the handy "send" button for sending an SMS text message? And no, you cannot resize the window to show the button, nor can you make it function by highlighting it with tabs and hitting enter.
On a netbook (HP in this case) FLSMS cannot send custom SMS text messages. Only messages in a workflow process.
