We Art Urban (Lagny, 05/2015)

In Lune Street, Preston, opposite the former Public Hall is a statue commemorating an incident which took place during 1842 when four workers demonstrating against wage cuts and in favour of "The Charter" were shot by the military. On a second plaque we are urged to "Remember, Remember" and continue the fight for Democracy at any cost.

One of eight Canada goslings that hatched recently. The parents were trying to urge the youngsters to enter the water but the little ones weren't interested. Finally this brave gosling carefully waded in, and the others soon followed. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

William looks at this every day. He really has a desire to climb it, but, he had several friends who were electrocuted doing it and he just hasn't worked up the courage to climb it yet. Maybe tomorrow. Besides, it doesn't look like it has any nuts to harvest anyway. Squirrels don't like climbing unless there is the promise of nuts!

Ziplining at Tierra Alta , Valencia , Negros Oriental

That's my daughter on the Zipline. My kids urged me to do this with them, it was crazy and frightening. Right on the edge , I almost backed out seconds before I was literally pushed ....

This is not my sort of fun, honestly :). I felt I've gone past the age of enjoying this kind of stuff. My fun is simple not complicated and less expensive, apart from petrol cost ... nature walks is enough, beach , mountains - not cruising through this connected cable wire .

A repost of an expat's video of Tierra Alta, Valencia.

I thank God for the opportunity to make this trip mainly to see my family especially my father . These things we did are extras that came along. The weather was turbulent in the first few days of this trip, but the rest of the days were good.

Christian persecution in the west is at large :

All right, I saw this and couldn't resist.

I suspect that from time to time the urging of "Go Hogs Go" may have helped some poor, constipated Arkansas fan after absorbing another gut-wrenching loss.

No matter what age, we males are sooo predictable! :D

An early springbound call.

My days are so dull, everything is such a monotony lately.. I don't know which day is which anymore.. because all of them are just the same!

ok so i had a look through my photos from the farns (eventually!) last night and i thought i better get this out the way early doors!

classic / iconic (did i hear someone say cliché?) – puffin with sand eels shot!

it had just started raining so this added something i think

i was laughing with brian (bojangles_1953) the other night saying by the time i managed to post anything everyone would be puffined-out – and he was saying i’d have to post a photo of one eating a bag of chips and mushy peas to make it stand out!!

there was a lot of puffins, and there was a lot of sand eels! – i shall resist the urge to post hundreds and hundreds – and try and look for something a bit original i promise!

(PLEASE NO AWARDS OR PICTURES OR FLASHY BADGES)

When I first saw them, they were just big fat lovely buds... slowly they opened and one by one the white outer petals revealed the little secrets.

Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.

Being creative is not a choice... it is an urge in me.

Have a wonderful day, filled with love and THANX for ALL your comments and visits, so appreciated. M, (*_*)

As tempting as it was to rip that tape off, I resisted the urge. All I got was that it was in the B--- VTR reg series.

I was sitting around at home this afternoon and it came to me..why have I never shot a landscape image at 300mm..tick that box now :-)

I never get tired of high cloud sunsets, the colours are always great.

This bull elk was recently on National news for attacking a lady in Estes Park. People got too close and he was protecting his harem.

Fait avec un petit flash godox TT350. Je crois que vous pouvez deviner qu'il était à droite.

C'est très spécial avoir un interphone dans mon logement. J'ai vécu une bonne parti de ma vie dans des endroits ou il n'y avait pas ça.

Random painting inspiring pirate urges.

Don't remember if this was at the Walters or BMA.

Meanwhile, at Dunder Mifflin...

"Hey, Jim."

"Darryl."

"Where's the new guy? Constanza?"

"He called in sick."

"Already! Hah!"

"Yep, I think he's getting a good feel for the place."

"Man, Jim, I cannot let this stand."

"Let what stand? You still on the forklift budget going to the Prison Mike display?"*

"It's always the same! I'm saying we have got THE WORST manager. Period. Scott don't know up from down, he causes the most ridiculous problems, and they let him keep his job!"

"Man, you've just got to let it go. Just roll with it. I don't let all the craziness here bother me any more. I do my job... kind of... and get my paycheck."

"But don't you want more out a career?"

"Well, Darryl, if I do, I know I'm not going to get it here. So, if that urge ever strikes me hard enough, I'll go find something else. Otherwise, I'm good."

"And since we're talking this way, I'm sure it will get back to Scott because someone will tell him, meaning WE SEE YOU SCHRUTE!"

"I wasn't hiding. You're in my chair. That's my desk."

"I know that, man, I was just talking to Jim!"

"Go back to the warehouse. Fix your forklift."

"One of these days..."

After the NGRF's simultaneous attacks on numerous North American Union (NAU) embassies, the Union was finally prompted to enter into the war. The Panthera was their first full production VCS but not far behind it was the Lanius.

The Lanius is one of the very few Variable VCS (VVCS) units. It was designed to be a VCS unit that could be deployed from aircraft carriers to strike at long-distance targets. The Lanius is comparable to the URE's Shrike II, but more heavily armored at the cost of maneuverability in VCS mode. It is capable of carrying a variety of different ordnance, in addition to different weapons for use in VCS mode. It has seen success in making strikes on NGRF trade routes in the Mediterranean, as well as attacking coastal targets in Italy and the Balkan Peninsula.

This is the result of a longstanding urge to build a decent jetformer that transforms into something more reminiscent of an actual jet than stuff like the Shrike II. This transforms entirely without removing parts aside from the missiles & guns. I'm very happy with the jet mode but the amount of kibble on the robot mode's back could be better. I also wish that I could have made the cockpit accessible in both forms, but as it stands it only works in the robot mode. The bottom of the model doesn't look too bad in jet mode, although the head is still pretty visible. The Lanius does feature working landing gear, and the front one even has an opening hatch accompanying it!

I had so many pictures of this model and I didn't want to clutter up my photostream too much with them, so you can view the rest in this Imgur album. Let me know if the link doesn't work.

Mildred couldn't resist the urge to release her inner party animal!

And I never saw Karissa again.

I'll never be entirely comfortable with that ephemeral aspect of photography. Setting up a shoot, spending perhaps several hours with them, staring at images of them for another few hours, discovering details about how they move, how they react, how they laugh.

And then...that's it. Ask them to shoot again, and they say yes, but then it's never a good date, things are too hectic, they say.

But really, they don't want to shoot again. Happens, it's happened on my end, as well.

Looking back, as I have so often during this pandemic, even the folks I didn't want to shoot again, I find myself now wondering about. The urge to photograph becomes (or always is) a spark of curiosity. One shoot is never enough to really Know someone, I should remind myself of that when I'm on a shoot that's not going well. Or is going okay but I'm not dazzled by.

I'm just so damned curious about people.

Spotted on the corner near a gas station and I felt the urge to pull over. His doggy buggy reminded me of a gentleman I met in Waco, TX with a similar setup.

Despite being down on his luck and panhandling, he seemed to be super content. He mentioned he felt he was one of the few living the true American dream. A local from Yukon and now in the Bethany area.

due to real life circumstances changing, decided to close up shop in-world. thank you everyone for all the support. i'll still be around second life but without the commitment of my little shop. it was fun times. if i get the urge to release, it will be to marketplace. ♥

St. Michael the Archangel's Church or the Garrison Church (Russian: Церковь Святого Михаила Архангела; Lithuanian: Švento Arkangelo Mykolo Bažny?ia) is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Kaunas, Lithuania, closing the perspective of the Laisvės Alėja, the main pedestrian street. It was built between 1891 and 1895 when Kaunas was part of the Russian empire, in Neo-Byzantine style largely for the use of the Russian Orthodox garrison of Kaunas Fortress.

It was built in an unusual Roman Byzantine architectural style hailed by contemporary architectural critics but which never really took off. It employing triple Corinthian columns in an otherwise typical "neo-Byzantine" (Romanesque) five-dome design. In total the exterior has 266 large and small columns and pilasters.

The church was designed as an Orthodox cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in 1890 by K. H. Lymarenko; it was authorized for construction on November 10 that year. Official groundbreaking was celebrated on 29 June 1891. The cathedral was completed in four years (unusually quickly for its size), and was inaugurated on 17 September 1895. Completion of the church finalized the administrative building complex of the Kaunas Fortress; it symbolized less the presence of Orthodox Christians than the imperial authority of the Russian government.

After the fall of the Kaunas Fortress during World War I the Germans cut down the church bells and transported them to Germany. The church stayed closed until 1919. In the interwar period the cathedral became a Roman Catholic church of the Lithuanian garrison of Kaunas. There were voices urging the demolition of the church as it was labeled as without architectural value. During the Soviet Union, it was used as an art gallery. Nowadays it serves as a Roman Catholic church. The other popular name of the church is Soboras or 'the Synod Church'.

I believe in illusion; the surface is what's real. This conclusion is the theme. A tile is a surface and is a symbol of surface. The anatomy, volume, scaffolding, solidness of the work are made up of superficiality. The particular tile was chosen for; colour - in order to strengthen the rhythm. Format - so that when stacked it would contain clear and jagged lines. Dimensions - so that an amount of instability could be designed into the stack.

the proof against this philosophy is the film Old Joy in which nothing is on the surface. this is something i have to work out or maybe just an inconsistency in myself.

Ted. E. Bear has never managed to quite get his nocturnal urges completely under control. I often hear him moving about at night.. Most of the time, those urgings only take him as far as the fridge, but I do worry about what might happen should that ever become not enough.

I saw this at the garden department of Home Depot. I haven't gotten it for my garden--yet. [EDIT: Looks like I won't, either, because when I went back to buy it, there were no more. Next time I will not resist the urge for an impulse purchase.]

Here's some information about this lovely flower.

As you can tell from my photostream, I'm not a stakhanovist photographer or model !

But yesterday evening, I feel the urge to become Ambre, put on a lovely mesh dress with encrusted shiny things and take one or two pictures...

Here is one of them.

Kiss to every one

Ambre
