For those of you wishing to know Little Bungee's post surgery status, I will offer updates here.
January 25
Bungee is still in Hospital today recovering from surgery and also so that his doctor can monitor his condition to make sure he is progressing. We expect a call from her later.
She wishes to keep him a few days. We miss him dreadfully but will comply with the doctors' directions for Bungee.
Thank you to everyone for the heartfelt messages and good wishes. We are truly happy to realize that we have such caring friends on Fickr.

January 26
The vet says Little Bungee is doing well. We hope to welcome him back home in a couple of days.
Thanks to everyone for your care and concern. I love you all for it.

A plain, chunky bird with a “big mouth.” Found in foothill rainforest of western Ecuador and western Colombia. It’s mostly olive-brown with pale eyes and a stout bill. Forages at middle levels of the forest and may join mixed-species flocks. Sings incessantly early in the morning, giving loud whistles intermixed with scratchy twitters and squeaks. It can open its beak surprisingly wide while singing, giving the impression that it’s shouting. (eBird)

I've been going through my photo archive, updating names based on the latest taxonomy. As part of that work, I've come across photos that I've never processed or posted (usually because they were too grainy, fuzzy, etc.). New editing tools, though, have meant that a few will now see the light of day, like this one. Taken in the early hours of the morning by a less than perfect camera, it finally comes to light after some heavy duty editing.
Note: I had originally ID'd this bird as a South American Leaftosser (which is very similar to this). When I posted it on eBird, the reviewer got back to me almost immediately with a correction. Oh well, still a lifer and still the one and only time I've seen this bird.

So I'm almost done the WW2 build. I'm just trying to finish the farm house. Then once this is done and up, I'll be building a Vietnam build.
It feels quite weird to upload something after so much time, but here I am.

The Red Bud between Staunton and Verona was pretty awesome this year and was glad to spend some time on the Shenandoah Valley. Here the local headed for Weyers Cave is passing through Verona and the last of the good spots for Red Bud.
At the Roaches, actually my camera was in an even more exposed place then I was - good job the remote gives me more time than the 10 second timer! I've only actually posted this so it'll let me update my cover photo
Last week I posted an image of a Pigeon sitting on her nest and I titled it "Your Own Home". Some people were curious about the babies and truthfully, this is my first time seeing Pigeon babies. I noticed these two just yesterday and they were not moving much. So they are quite young yet. I am surprised by their appearance! They look almost prehistoric and nothing like the adult. It's the orange tufts of fluff that really surprise me. I hope to capture their development over the next few days and I will keep you posted. Happy Wing Wednesday!

Ron had total left hip replacement surgery on Aug. 1 and returned home the next day. Unfortunately, that next morning Ron fell and Edgar had to call 911. No serious damage was done by the fall, but he was hospitalized for three days where he was treated for a urinary tract infection. He's back home now and had a visit from the home nurse today...she says he's coming along fine. The fall and subsequent hospital stay were quite an aggravating delay in recovery from surgery.

I'm running to get back in. After I'd uploaded my last 3 photos onto here, my laptop burped. I spent the weekend trying to get it to do a Windows update, but it wouldn't.
Found someone to take me to our nearest computer repair shop and left it with "the very nice man". It came home with a 10/10 score, only to do exactly the same thing when I needed to do another update. 😒
Back on the phone to the "very nice man" and got someone to get me back to the shop. Sadly being July/August I had the added frustration that almost 99.9% of workers, (and everyone else), go on a months holiday at about the same time. So I had to wait. 🤔
Finally, picked it up this morning, but as it also needed a new hard drive, I've spent the afternoon uploading everything again. I will try my best over the weekend to catch up, the best I can.
Maybe view large, but thank you for your favourites. :)
Hey guys!
I've finally got around to updating my marketplace. Previous gachas have now been split up and are sold as copy along with all other releases added.
Happy Shopping!
Bamboo's art @ the Annex of Nitroglobus: will be there for about another 1,5 weeks. In the first week of April a new exhibition will be placed on the walls of The Annex.
On the other hand, Bamboo's work in the Main hall will remain till about half April.

It's been awhile since I posted an update on this guy to Flickr, so here it is so far. The sculpt is pretty much done, just tweaking some things on the helmet, then I have to add the cloth and wires, and maybe extended the jet pack rocket.

Remembrance Sunday is gone, but the insignia of remembering the war dead are still up. When I came to Britain in 1990, male soldiers only were remembered (and, usually, Brits only, not the millions of soldiers Africa and India had provided). Things have changed since then, and now, there are also silhouettes of female soldiers. For somebody like me, coming from "Europe", it is strange that in the UK the memory is clearly privileging the military. Modern war, however, is equally destructive in the civilian world.
