This is how they unloaded the fish from the boat to the beach... the ox seem accustomed to water... :D

The Karina unloading people, Creecher's Cafe around the coast in the background, Ann's grandfather, Thomas Pickering, built an iron walkway out to the cafe and past it down the coast for around a mile. In the winter all the planks were taken up and stored.

On the left, my dad helps unload the caravan of cars full of blankets. They were giving away blankets in Tijuana.
Stopped at the Vantage Point and Boatnerd Headquarters in Port Huron on our drive to Stratford. My lovely wife let us stay there for almost 90 minutes waiting for ships to come in. This is the last ship I saw that definitely worth it. Here is the Self-unloader Paul R. Tregurtha heading upbound past the Vantage Point in Port Huron on the St. Clair River. This 1013' self-unloader was built in 1981 and is part of the Interlake Steamship Company. The Paul R. Tregurtha is the largest ship on the lakes - hard to get it into one picture! It was great as it passed, they announced information about the ship for the people who were inside and outside the Great Lakes Maritime Center or Boatnerd Vantage Point.
