I was inspired by the 10-unit assembly method in Tomoko's new book and assembled my units in the same manner. I was surprised, when I've found the same method in Rona Gurkewitz's book (1996). I've viewed it thousand times, but didn't mention this. So the proper photo is a very important thing!

These jewelry is made out of paper. This product has been given waterproof coating. Therefore, it is water resistant.

This is the back side of an hexagon made with 6 tricorne pixels. It looks a bit like a star, or it could make nice ice crystals and snowflakes with blue paper.
Each tricorne is made from one square. No cuts, no glue, joined together by folding on the back.

I skipped reverse-fold (though you can leave it) and inserted the tab into upper pocket to get a nice color-change.

This one is very easy and very stable at the same time. However it requires clips during assembly and some patience while shaping the flowers.
Initially I planned quite a different kusudama, that failed, so I quickly reassembled it to this one ;)

Cornwall, Vermont USA • View from where I'm sitting, on a rainy day, focusing on some origami, across the room.
The Emerald Gypsy (eGypsy) is a 1949 Ford F-5 Wayne shortbody schoolbus, motorhome conversion. It first served as a rural elementary schoolbus in Hemet, California. In the early 1960's it had its first conversion to a motorhome.
I bought it on eBay in May, 2007. It was my home • office • studio until August 2009. It is currently parked in Cornwall, Vermont USA.

To say the truth I have no mood for posting pictures since flickr changed
