Ever since discovering the signal bridge is still standing where the Missouri Pacific split away from the Union Pacific at the former 16th St. interlocking in Omaha (known today as CP B004), I've made it a goal to try and get a good flick of it knowing its days are more than likely numbered. I've tried a few times over the past year or so but one way or another have not been happy with the result. The main issue being the only westbounds to reliably run passed this control point are the occasional yard job, OCS, or the Valley local picture here. Other than that it's majorly, if not all eastbound and northbound traffic off the Overland and the Falls City Sub (former MoPac) respectively. I finally lucked out this week when LNA01 (the aforementioned Valley local) departed an hour before sundown on a cloudy day - you'd be surprised how uncommon it is for those two conditions to line up.
So yeah after a year of wanting this shot, here's LNA01 screaming up the hill towards Summit with a pretty healthy train in tow.

Worth stating, would not recommend trying to get back here if you don't know what you're doing. Or do, I'm not your dad, but it is worth mentioning I have a badge to flash and understand what kind of area this is.

Union Pacific's first diesel-electric switch engine pulls Deer Creek Scenic Railroad's "Santa Claus Express" train south of Heber City, Utah on Dec. 15, 1985. The beautifully restored NW2 was built by EMC as a demo unit in Oct. 1939 and purchased by UP in 1940.
In July 1966, it was retired and sold to the Stockton Terminal & Eastern in California. By June 1969, it found a new home on the Western Pacific as No. 607 and by May 1973, it was transferred to subsidiary road Sacramento Northern.
After the UP-WP merger of 1983, 607 was retired by UP (again) and donated to Utah's Deer Creek Scenic Railroad in May of 1984.
By February 1993, it was sold to the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City, where it operates today.
