Managing Water and Land Resources for Sustainable Livelihoods at the Interface between Fresh and Saline Water Environments in Vietnam and Bangladesh

The project had five specific objectives:

1.To enhance their understanding of livelihood changes resulting from regional resources management and farm-level technological interventions.

2.

To assess the impacts of agricultural and aquacultural land and water uses on water quality, aquatic biodiversity, and inland fisheries.

3.

To develop ecologically friendly and socially acceptable techniques for rice and rice-aquaculture production systems.

4.

To develop decision-support tools and an institutional framework for integrated multipurpose management of a dual fresh- and brackish-water regime to meet the needs of diverse water users, without an adverse impact on users and the environment outside.

5.

To enhance human resources capacity and develop recommendations for resources management at the farm and regional level.

You might remember Melina from the character design section. This version was the one that won the 5th place in the mascot-contest. Next to her is the statue I crafted of her. For the contest we first had to create a 2D sketch and then later a 3D model of the character we send in.

Sculpting is one of my many passions and has often helped me to get a better understanding of a character and its dimensions.

Many professionals refer to sales as a contact sport. It can’t be done sitting behind a computer. Understanding the importance of relationships and building reputation and credibility are critical to success, as this panel of experts discussed.

Alumni panelists: Micheline Anstey '91G (SNHU), Ed Ithier '87 '93G (Xerox Corporation), Mary Mogan '15 (Adored), and Jim Naro '85G (The Naro Group). Moderator: Beth Prieto (Dorothy S. Rogers Career Development Center, SNHU).

The Buffer tool, a geoprocessing tool in the Analysis toolbox in ArcToolbox, generates buffer polygons, or offsets, around input features at a specified distance. Buffers show the area that is within some distance of the input features. The tool is popular because the concept of buffering is easy to understand and buffering plays an important role in many geoprocessing workflows involving proximity or distance analysis (i.e., How far away are these things? or What features are within a distance of other features?). Because the Buffer tool is important in performing proximity tasks, a key goal for developers working on this tool has been to ensure that buffers accurately depict distances around features. Mr. Joon Park, Administrator, United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service ARS discusses with Museum of Natural History (MNH) staff during the celebration of partnership between the USDA and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History at the Museum of Natural History, Washington D.C., Feb. 13, 2026. A strong partnership is essential to protecting American agriculture, and the recent Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History reflects that commitment. By strengthening collaboration on pest and flora specimen identification and positioning scientific staff closer to the Smithsonian’s world class collections, this agreement enhances our collective ability to detect, study, and respond to threats that impact farmers, producers, and ecosystems nationwide. Leaders from all three organizations gathered to commemorate this milestone, underscoring a shared dedication to scientific excellence, innovation, and safeguarding the nation’s agricultural resources for generations to come. Fat loss is an essential component of your state of health, but understanding it and picking the right plan might be tricky. There are several exercises or diet plans which may even harm you. Here are several steps that could ensure your doctor build a policy for successful and safe fat loss.

A great fat loss technique involves simple tracking of calorie intake on a daily basis. Cut out fats where you can. You might want to look for substitutions that contain fewer calories.

If you want to get rid of some weight, you need to manage your stress levels. When we get stressed out, our body will store calories and try to maintain weight, not lose it. You could possibly know that your stress levels is temporary or just about a project you are working on, but your body thinks that you are fighting off a wild animal and must run. Manage your stress levels, and shedding weight should become easier.

A lot of new diet plans require you to completely avoid eating carbohydrates. This may not be ideal from a nutritional point of view. Carbs are needed for people to function correctly, especially active people. They provide long-term energy to compete in many sports, so avoid cutting them down if you're incredibly active.

Go to bed at a reasonable hour each night. Most adults require eight hours of sleep every night. Staying awake will not cause your whole body to lose excess weight. Sleep helps to keep your metabolism up so that you can lose weight.

Be careful about your beverages if you wish to drop some weight. All drinks, except for water, have calories. Every regular soda, each alcoholic drink and each glass of juice, adds extra calories to your daily total. Carefully monitor the calories from the liquids you drink.

If you are intending to eat out for dinner, then split a plate with someone. Many times, restaurants will have servings that are too much for just one person. Try asking for a couple plates to share with a loved one instead. This will help you both decrease calories and save money.

It is evident that shedding weight is essential to your health, both now and in the future. It is also essential to understand the various ways of going about shedding weight. This will let you develop a plan that is right for your situation. Using these tips is a great way to start. www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1xyitx1UU4
