In the intricate fabric of our language lies a phrase that speaks to the essence of human connection—'take you under my wing.' Its origin, much like the graceful spread of a protective wing, harks back to the nurturing care of birds shielding their young. This expression beautifully encapsulates our capacity to offer guidance, support, and shelter to those in need. We find ourselves, at different points in our lives, in varied roles: sometimes the guardian, extending our wing to shield and mentor others, and sometimes the fledgling seeking solace and wisdom, yearning to be taken under the comforting embrace of another's wing. It's a testament to the cyclical nature of our human experience—where giving and receiving support intertwine, shaping our collective journey towards empathy, resilience, and growth.

From this spot along the Skyline Trail, the top of Mt. Rainier is only about four miles away (as the raven flies). Four grueling, dangerous miles away.

A little abstract fun with the St. Louis Arch. A beautiful mid week afternoon under the Jefferson Memorial Expansion in St. Louis, Missouri. I was looking for creative ways to capture this iconic gateway to the West. This is directly under the East end of the monument looking straight up and as tight as I could get it with the wide angle lens. It's crazy to think that even with the ultra wide angle at 10.0mm that I didn't even touch a little more than the midway point at the top. The sun's reflection is coming off the bank of glass windows on the top of the arch for people to view out of when they travel to the top.

I got up for sunrise only to be faced with a fog bank which had a really strange dffuse effect on the sun coming through ..

イルミネーションが見えるスタバでは夜遅くまで会話を楽しむ若い女性で満員でした。
This photo is Shinjuku Station Southern Terrace.
I uploaded this photo because it was taken clearly under the clear winter sky.
The illuminations can be seen at Starbucks, so it was packed with young women who enjoyed conversation until late at night.
