in a moment of stillness amidst an architectural marvel, a solitary figure walks under the vast, elliptical opening of the structure, dwarfed by its scale. the interplay of shadows and reflections creates a dramatic pattern across the curved facade, where lines intersect in a dance of light and geometry. the minimalistic composition and high contrast in black and white elevate the scene to a visual symphony, capturing a fleeting moment in a space that feels both immense and intimate. it's a study of scale, solitude, and the silent dialogue between human and architecture.
This small village lies right under one of the most unique rock formations I've ever seen. There are a few other similar rocks in the area, but this one was the most beautiful one in my opinion because of its shape. It looks like a plant, flowering and opening up and both sides, with the village sitting in the middle.

Taken on a recent morning along the Yarra River looking under Sandridge Bridge. I managed to get this shot before the first rowers disturbed the almost perfect reflections, on what was one of the stillest mornings I have seen.
The picture was taken together with #K.M._Photography in Lindau (Germany) under a bridge on a rainy, cloudy day
Still in the churchyard at Bookham Church looking at the blossom for once seen while it was still at it's best . I took a few normal shots , some already on flickr , however , this time this was a quick shot with the camera pointing straight up from under the canopy .

I've caught a bad cold, and haven't been able to smell anything for over a week. So, on the bright side, it doesn't bother me at all if Heidi brings her stinky new toy containing valerian root inside. However, I'll have to kick it out about a week before I get any visitors with fully functioning noses and olfactory nerves... ;-)
Well….That misty and… mystical Chateau-morning, that I was telling you about in my previous capture, I was also found in this extraordinary spot: so close to the…Mystical River’s multi-coloured, glittering waters, and under the golden-leaved branches of some of his trees …I had this same enchanting feeling, that I used to have being a little girl playing alone, when I was suddenly found covered by the plants growing in our garden at the time…I was feeling utterly protected and happy, believing I was surrounded by Fairies!! I used to stay sitting under there –- eyes closed -- in silence, for a lot of minutes, until I heard the voice of my Mama calling me….But that mystical morning at the Chateau, it was a happy barking dog, that brought me back to the here and now…

*** Wishing you , a wonderful New Week!!
The Limpkin had been peacefully feeding when the grackle came by and began to attack him. Fortunately it did not last long but they are definitely fierce attackers . They will even go after the snail kites and eagles. Amazing to watch nature in action !!!
Wishing you a great and blessed Tuesday !!!!!!

Canadian Pacific repainted dual flag SD40-2F 9022 sits out the overnight hours between assignments in Bensenville in 2005.
SD40-2F 9000 (the other cowl painted in the dual flags scheme) and a gaggle of Soo Line SD60s were also present in those carefree days when I could just set up a tripod and shoot away with nobody giving a rat's ass.
Those days are long gone.

The seaweed is always greener in somebody else's lake, you dream about going up there but that is a big mistake. Just look at the world around you, right here on the ocean floor, such wonderful things surround you, what more is you looking for ?
Big thanks to my friend who was the little mermaid in this photo :D

Another moment in the Bosque del Apache in New Mexico. The Snow Geese take off over the Sandhill Cranes. Make sure you have an umbrella handy.
Beautiful afternoon light seen from a rock arch in Wadi Rum. The sky was so nice that day, and I was surprised to see clouds that often during my stay, considering it rarely rains. Perhaps there are no peaks high enough to trap the moisture and empty the clouds ?
This morning, when I woke up the sun was low and it was passing under the livingroom door. You can even see the window on the marble reflex.
It seems that many of us are now living under our own dome due to travel limitations around the world and the requirements of social distancing. Stay safe and keep social distancing. If possible, wear a face mask to protect yourself and others from infection when in crowded areas.
