LICK has had a phenomenal couple of months. From his remixes of Skrillex and Virtual Self to his recent DIMENSION EP on Deadbeats, this up and coming producer is taking the mid tempo world by storm. However, he shows up with something new for his latest offering.
Taking on Seven Lions’ hit “Lose Myself”, LICK offers up his typical bass heavy mid tempo sound that we’ve come to know LICK for. He then takes the song in a completely new direction that we haven’t heard from him by bringing in a future bass drop. It’s great to see artists exploring new sounds and venturing outside of their comfort zone and I think LICK did it spectacularly here. A Ford Shelby GT350 lawsuit will move forward based on claims the Mustangs overheat and go into "limp mode" without warning, even while trying to run on racetracks. Once in limp mode, the Mustangs quickly decelerate without warning, creating confusion among all drivers on the road.
The plaintiffs say the GT350s are specifically advertised as ready for track driving, with Ford holding marketing events at racetracks.
The class-action lawsuit includes only the 2016 model which Ford advertised as “race-tuned” and “powered by a 5.2L Ti-VCT V8 . . . to propel you into the winner’s circle.” However, those claims don't hold water with 22 Shelby GT350 plaintiffs from 11 states who filed the lawsuit.
Ford sold the 2016 Shelby GT350 with three trim levels: Base, Track Package and Technology Package, but the class-action lawsuit does not include cars with the Track Package.
The plaintiffs claim that while Ford was advertising the Shelby Mustang as a "thoroughbred capable of tackling the world’s most challenging roads and racetracks," the cars were overheating both on closed tracks and during normal highway driving.
According to the lawsuit, the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 Base and Technology cars are not equipped with transmission or differential coolers to prevent the cars from overheating. The plaintiffs also claim there are no temperature sensors on the dashboards to monitor or adjust the temperatures of the transmissions and differentials.
Drivers also allege there are defects in the powertrain systems because the extreme temperatures cause damage to the transmissions and clutches. Whether on a public road or racetrack, the plaintiffs say the defects make the Mustangs dangerous to drive.
Ford allegedly knew the 2016 Mustangs overheated because later models all included rear differential and transmission coolers. Court documents say 2017 Shelby GT350s cost $3,000 more than 2016 models because of the addition of transmission and differential coolers.
Ford was successful in getting the first version of the Mustang lawsuit dismissed. The judge allowed the plaintiffs to amend the lawsuit and Ford again filed a motion to dismiss, but this time only seven out of 59 claims were dismissed.
Judge Federico A. Moreno saw problems with some of the plaintiffs buying their cars from Ford dealerships and not from Ford directly, blocking implied warranty claims for plaintiffs from Florida, New York, Oregon and Washington.
Many of the claims were allowed to proceed based on the early stage of the proposed class-action lawsuit, including express warranty claims under Florida law. Based on that ruling, Ford was also denied its motion to dismiss unjust enrichment claims.
“Because unjust enrichment is available only when there is no adequate remedy at law, and the court has declined to dismiss the express warranty claims at the motion to dismiss stage, the court will determine at a later time whether plaintiffs' remedy at law is adequate. Accordingly, because the issue of whether the express warranty applies in this case is still in dispute, Ford's motion is denied as to the unjust enrichment claims.”
The judge gave Ford until August 10, 2018, to respond to the denial of its motion to dismiss.
The Ford Shelby GT350 lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida – Tershakovec, et al., v. Ford Motor Company.
The plaintiffs are represented by Hagens Berman, and Grossman Roth Yaffa Cohen.

Nissan is recalling about 105,000 Nissan Versa cars to replace frontal passenger Takata airbag inflators at risk of exploding.
The metal inflators contain the explosive propellant chemical ammonium nitrate that degrades over time. A small fender-bender can cause the airbag inflator to blow up and send shrapnel into occupants.
Nissan says various areas of the U.S. are affected by the Takata recall.
Model year 2011 Nissan Versas and 2011-2012 Nissan Versa hatchbacks are recalled if they were ever registered in the following states:
Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Nissan is also recalling certain 2010-2011 Nissan Versa sedans and 2010-2012 Nissan Versa hatchbacks that have ever been registered in:
Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Nissan dealers will replace the front passenger airbag inflators starting in July 2018, but concerned owners may call Nissan at 800-867-7669.

There’s dentistry and then there’s “endodontic treatment.” So, what’s the difference? Is one a smaller part of the other?
The word “endodontic” stems from the Greek words for “inside” (endo) and “tooth” (odont). Together, the meaning of a root canal treatment is brought to a term. Endodonic therapy is actually a tooth-saving branch of the dental industry.
In order to better understand what a root canal is and how “endodontic therapy” can help save a tooth, it is essential to understand the anatomy of a tooth.
A tooth’s anatomy
Starting from the outside-in, let’s first talk about what you see when someone smiles: the enamel of the tooth—you know, that (preferably) white, shiny stuff.
Below the enamel is a layer called dentin. Dentin is softer than enamel, but is the second hardest tissue in the body—akin to bone—with a yellowish tint (hence when your dentin is exposed or enamel wears, your teeth look more yellow).
Below the layer of dentin you have the “pulp” of the tooth. The pulp contains blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue that create surrounding hard tissues of the tooth during its initial development. Reaching from the top of the tooth to the bottom of the roots, the pulp connects everything to the tissues of the jaw. Once the tooth is fully mature, however, it can survive without the pulp…hence why a root canal works!
So, what exactly happens during a root canal? First, let’s dive into why a root canal is usually needed.
The cause for a root canal
If the pulp layer of a tooth becomes infected or inflamed (due to enamel erosion, cavities, decay, impact, repeated dental procedures, a chip or a crack, or something else), you will experience sure signs like pain, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to touch and chewing, discoloration and swelling in that area. These symptoms signify infection or inflammation that can cause more pain over time and eventually lead to an abscess. Read: go to your dentist immediately to sort out the cause and get appropriate treatment.
If the needed treatment is a root canal, what happens during the procedure by the endodontist? Allow us to paint that picture.
How root canals work
An exam and x-ray is done to identify the infected area. After taking a look, your dentist will administer a local anesthetic to numb the area, and then isolate the tooth by placing a “dental dam” (a small protective sheet) over the area to keep it sanitary and dry throughout the procedure.
Once isolated, the procedure begins. First, the endodontist will drill an opening into the crown (or top) of the tooth. Once an opening is created the endodontist can clean out the infected pulp from the entire pulp chamber and the roots below to prepare the space for the filling.
After the canals of the tooth have been shaped, a biocompatible material called “gutta-percha” (a rubber compound) is used to fill the canals where the existing pulp and roots were. This is done with a cement adhesive that ensures total sealant of the canals. On top of the gutta-percha will be a layer of composite filling. For some patients, this is all that a root canal will entail.
Depending on the strength of your tooth and if it is possible for it to hold the restoration in place, your endodontist may opt to use a post inside of the tooth, add a crown—or even a crown and post to prevent the tooth from breaking.
If a crown is the avenue you have to take, then a temporary crown will be placed on top of the filling at this time. You’ll have a second appointment when the permanent crown is ready to be placed.
Where is a root canal on the pain Richter?
Many people report that a root canal procedure itself is equivalent to having a filling done. If the anesthetic is done correctly you should only feel the vibrations from the tools.
Starting a few hours after the procedure is when you might feel sensitivity due to the area being inflamed from impact. Usually over-the-counter medications like ibuprofen, or naproxen can subdue the pain, and in a few days you should return to normal.
For a period of time, there may be a noticeable difference in your bite or how your tooth feels to your tongue. In time, this will change, and you’ll become used to the new shape or feel.
Caring for your tooth and/or crown after the procedure
Until the root canal procedure is officially complete, and the permanent filling or crown is in place, it’s best to chew on the opposite side of your mouth.

The story of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s arrest and eventual flop on his co-conspirators is about as anti-gang as it gets. For an individual whose own lawyer claimed that his gangster image was just a facade as part of his defense, I definitely believe it now.
As it turns out, Tekashi might not even serve any time as part of a new plea deal, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York. As of the beginning of February, Tekashi was still facing a minimum of 47 years in prison; however, according to a newly unsealed plea deal, he could walk free as early as January 24, 2020.
Prosecutors are recommending no prison time for Tekashi thanks to his cooperation and information on additional crimes. When he faces sentencing in January, it will ultimately be up to the judge to decide his fate.
The plea deal acknowledges that due to the sensitive nature of Tekashi’s testimonies, witness protection “may be required at a later date.” However, with a tattooed and recognizable face, it’s unclear how effective such a course of action would be.

Okay, many of us tend to see our hair as our best accessory and enjoy making it do all the fun things we want, but all that curling, straightening, dying, stripping, tying, twisting, braiding, and heat can have lasting effects.
Does this mean that we can’t still have fun with our locks? No way! But here are a few ways to prevent damaging (or further damaging) our hair:
Use moisturizing shampoo that fits your hair type.
Rinse your hair in cool water to seal the pores.
Don’t brush your hair when it’s wet, use a comb or fingers to detangle -brushing can cause breakage and frizz.
Air dry whenever possible.
Use the hairdryer on the lowest setting and don’t let it touch your hair, it can actually burn it.
Try to limit your use of flat irons, curling irons, and hot combs.
We lose a lot of our natural oil when we color our hair, so be careful not to over bleach or color to avoid overly dry hair that becomes brittle and can easily break off.
Braids that are in too tight and for too long cause breakage and scalp irritation that could lead to hair loss, so limit how long and often your hair is in braids.
Get regular trims to get rid of dead and split ends. It will prevent breakage and help your hair appear longer and stronger.

JOYRYDE’s debut album Brave was originally set for release on November 30, 2018. Unfortunately, three days before it was planned to release, JOYRYDE announced that the album had to be pushed back due to “mostly technical reasons.” It sucked at the time, but we as fans obviously didn’t want to rush anything that wasn’t 100% ready.
Now, finally, the album rollout is resuming and we couldn’t be more excited. However, we’re also a little confused. In the tweet announcing the rollout, JOYRYDE wrote, “im releasing the 1st track of album this month.”

Wait a second… wasn’t “AGEN WIDA” with Skrillex the first single? Not necessarily. Looking back at JOYRYDE’s announcement of the track, it could be misconstrued that way: “first this.. then my album ‘brave’ november 30.”
It’s easy to interpret that as saying “AGEN WIDA” is the first single, but it doesn’t necessarily say that. Another interpretation of JOYRYDE’s new tweet is that he’s releasing the literal first track on the album. But it doesn’t say “on,” it says “of,” so that’s a stretch.
All that being said, this is just semantics and it doesn’t change the fact that we are getting new JOYRYDE music, which is something to be celebrated. So keep an eye out, and listen to “AGEN WIDA” again below.

OMG! Did Kapil Sharma get a warning from the channel for his comedy show?
Earlier this year, the Kapil Sharma show on Sony network faced major trouble as several actors quit the show owing to massive fight between the comedian-actor and the main host of the show Kapil and his co-star Sunil Grover who was an integral part of the show. While this was followed by yet another show making its way to the same channel and that too in time slot right after Kapil’s show, now it seems the woes have returned for the latter.
The Kapil Sharma show is yet again facing trouble owing to the last minute cancellations made by the host comedian of the show, Kapil Sharma. Recently, the comedian-actor cancelled a shoot with the Baadshaho team which features some A-listers like Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi and it seems that the channel wasn’t too happy about the same. In fact, it was reportedly not the first incident and prior to this many shoots with several Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor and veteran actor Paresh Rawal faced a similar fate.
In fact, several speculations about the show going off air were doing the rounds after the Kapil-Sunil controversy but it was recently revealed that the channel has extended their contract with Kapil’s show. However, with the latest issue brewing, it seems that the channel is rethinking about its decision since the authorities are quite miffed with Kapil’s behaviour. The stand-up comedian turned actor has been claiming that the cancellations are owing to his ill health. Reinstating the same was his co-star Sumona Chakravarti, who according to reports, stated that the actor has been facing immense work pressure due to the shoot of the show as well as his Bollywood film Firangi.
From what we hear, Kapil Sharma has now been warned to either avoid these cancellations or provide a host who can match up to him, depending on which the channel will decide the fate of the show.

Famed Atlanta rapper 21 Savage apparently isn’t from Atlanta at all, nor the state of Georgia. According to multiple reports, Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph has been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which claims he’s actually from the UK.
Much to everyone’s surprise, 21 Savage has been “unlawfully present” in the U.S. after overstaying his visa. He reportedly entered the U.S. back in July 2005 and his visa expired the following year. That certainly didn’t stop him from achieving superstardom and putting out a handful of widely successful albums.
Dina LaPolt, the attorney representing 21 Savage revealed to Variety:
“We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with authorities to clear up any misunderstanding. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in the country — especially in Atlanta, Georgia and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy.”

Chlorine vs. Chloramine
When your city disinfects drinking water, it’s a two part process.
The first stage is known as primary disinfection, and this is where pathogenic organisms, such as viruses, bacteria, and cysts are destroyed. The next stage is to treat the water with residual disinfectant further as it travels through the water pipes to reach our homes. As you can see above, the vast majority of water treatment in Canada uses free chlorine, which is an oxidizer that destroys the organism’s tissues to kill them.
When we examine the differences between chlorine and chloramine, we are usually discussing the choice of residual disinfectant. Increasingly, we are seeing the adoption of chloramine for this purpose because it will not naturally dissipate in the air or aggressively react to surfaces. In essence, the chloramine will last longer and will not cause as much damage to pipes. A more persistent chemical disinfectant will be more persistent and provide better disinfection for people.
The Problem with Chloramine
The very properties that make chloramine attractive as a water disinfectant make it harder to remove for homeowners. Chloramine is a very stable molecule compared to chlorine and if you want to remove it a water treatment system using activated carbon will be required. This will also remove chlorine, so if your city isn’t listed above, this type of water treatment method will also remove that unpleasant “swimming pool” taste.

BREAKING: Salman Khan returns Rs. 32.5 Crores to distributors for Tubelight; Will Shah Rukh Khan follow suit for Jab Harry Met Sejal?Tubelight’s Maharashtra distributor Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz can heave a sigh of life.
On Wednesday, 9th August, Salman Khan called the distributor to compensate for the losses suffered at the Box-Office over Tubelight. Salman, on the behest of his father Salim Khan, agreed in June to reimburse for the losses suffered for Tubelight. Finally the reimbursement is happening today.
Says a source close to the development, “Salman Khan had promised to return his distributor’s money by the end of July. However, he was busy shooting abroad for Tiger Zinda Hai. Now that he’s back in Mumbai, he has agreed to return Rs. 32.5 crores to the distributors. This is half of the total losses suffered by distributors over Tubelight.”
Interestingly, the same distributor, Shreyans Hirawat has suffered losses of around Rs. 50 crores on the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal.
The buzz is Shah Rukh will follow in Salman’s footsteps and compensate for the losses.

McIntosh has recently released two all new multi-channel power amps aimed at whole house audio and custom installation dealers. As a CI dealer myself, I am very excited for this new release.
It was interesting to watch my McIntosh rep not struggle with the usual 100-pound amps he brings into my store. This time he gracefully bought two cartons in and set up the McIntosh goodies inside. I was happily surprised by what I saw, the all new MI128 eight-channel and MI254 four-channel power amplifiers.
The MI128 is an eight-channel digital (yes, digital!) amplifier from Mcintosh. It weighs in at a svelte 22 pounds.

Putting out 120 watts into 8 ohms it’s no slouch. In a world where distributed audio amplifiers are dominated by boring and underpowered electronics, it’s nice to see a new product that offers something with a bit more punch. Until I get to hear one in a full system I won’t comment much on the audio quality, but yes, it is very good.
It does not have any of the signature McIntosh meters on the front, but it does have the iconic green glow. Note the speaker terminals are Phoenix connectors and not five-way binding posts. Will this dissuade people from using them to power a full seven-channel system just to say it’s McIntosh powered? I wouldn’t be surprised.
The MI254 is the more powerful sibling of the MI128, and it packs a more serious punch with 250 watts at 8 ohms. Just note that this amp only has four channels instead of eight. A major difference between these two amps, is that the MI254 has five-way binding posts and XLR inputs. Mcintosh told me this amp is perfect for waking up whole house audio speakers in key locations and can be used to add four Dolby Atmos channels to an existing system.
Just like the MI128 it also has bus inputs, meaning you can run multiple channels from one input. The MI254 makes for a killer whole house audio amp as well as a budget amp to run a front three-channel system. The iconic Mcintosh meters are present on this unit and they look amazing. This looks like a great go-to amp for most uses where 200 watts of power are all that’s needed.

McIntosh really thought out these two amps and I am excited to hear more of them. I will have a full review out shortly digging into more of the uses, features, and audio quality. The CI channel of the audio and video world is constantly growing and evolving and it’s always exciting to see a manufacturer like McIntosh showing us some love with amps like these. I can’t wait to hear and see them in action in a home theater near you.

This, of course, won’t make a lick of difference to the majority of dance music fans. But Hilton inexplicably commands a rather large following, even in her musical endeavors. Residencies in Ibiza and other high-profile destination travel sites have helped her maintain a presence in music even with releases few and far between (and of questionable quality).
It probably won’t win any awards, but Hilton is definitely capitalizing on her own social capital with any new endeavor she pursues.

Rani Mukerji gets legal notice by BMC over alleged illegal construction at her bungalow
Rani Mukerji has been sent a legal notice by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for an alleged illegal construction around her bungalow, Krishna Ram, in Juhu, Mumbai.
According to the reports, the members of the BMC had reached her Juhu residence to examine the house a week ago but were not allowed to enter the house. Now, the BMC members will be coming back on August 30 and might be accompanied by policemen.
The reports claimed that Prashant Gaikwad, the assistant civic commissioner of the K-West ward, had received the complaint from several activists about the alleged illegal construction. Then, the notice had been issued under Section 488 of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, which grants BMC the right to inspect the land.
The municipal body records suggested that Rani Mukerji had been granted a commencement certificate to modify her bungalow in 2014. However, even after the expiration of the certificate, dated November 2015, construction work is still in progress at the premises.
However, Rani Mukerji’s spokesperson said that the allegations made against her about illegal construction were completely baseless. Adding to it, he said that the certificate was renewed and BMC has the records to confirm the same. He also added the ongoing construction falls under the guidelines of BMC.
But, Nikitesh Chaubal, activist and chairman of Aamhi Jagrut Mumbaikar, has claimed that the certificate has not been renewed and the ongoing construction is in violation of BMC regulations.
