Lviv and Kharkiv IT Clusters Lead Ukraine’s Digital Resilience
Amid war, the Lviv and Kharkiv IT Clusters have become pillars of Ukraine’s tech ecosystem. Both earned the ECEI Bronze Label in 2024 with EU4Digital support, recognising their strategic vision and impact.
Led by Svitlana Skrypka and Olha Shapoval, the clusters drive education, innovation, and international cooperation. Without relying on state funding, they blend grants, membership support, and public-private partnerships to strengthen Ukraine’s digital future — even in crisis.

On the occasion of Passover, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of Jewish religious organizations and spoke with students of the 325 Specialized School "Shchastia".
The Head of State attended one of the lessons and thanked for the invitation on a significant holiday for Jews, which symbolizes the victory of freedom over slavery.
"How symbolic it is that we are in a Jewish school in a bomb shelter. This is our Passover eve. This is a very important signal to the whole world that every people and nation is fighting for freedom and their values, which are more important than the conditions of us being in a bomb shelter, of children having a bomb shelter. And this is not their choice, it’s what Russia did... The Jewish community supports Ukraine in the fight for freedom for the sake of all our children and the future," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a meeting with rabbis.
The President emphasized that it was extremely important to bolster air defense to protect our people. He also thanked the representatives of Jewish organizations for helping to engage international partners, including the United States, in helping Ukraine.
The chief rabbis of the cities noted that they had not left the country since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as it is extremely important to stay with your community during the war. They assured that they would continue to make every effort and pray for Ukraine's victory.
"The main thing is not to fear. You as a leader set a great example in this regard. The whole country looks at you and sees how confident you are, how brave you are, and this is what keeps people hopeful of victory," said Shmuel Kaminetsky, Chief Rabbi of Dnipro.
He added that the best matzah, the wheat flour bread eaten during Passover, is made in Ukraine. Rabbi Meir Stambler, Chairman of the Federation Council of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, reminded that the Torah is being prepared for publication in Ukrainian for the first time.
"We are confident that the fact that we are translating the Torah into Ukrainian brings us closer to a complete victory. One that will change the whole world. Because every action we take changes this world. A world where all the forces of evil will be destroyed both in the war against Israel and in the war against Ukraine," Meir Stambler emphasized.
A pro-Russian separatist jumps out of a military truck in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, January 21, 2015. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko accused Russia on Wednesday of sending 9,000 troops to back separatist rebels in the east of his country, and the IMF chief said she backed extra financial help for Kiev as the conflict inflicts severe economic damage. Moscow challenged Poroshenko to present facts to prove his allegations. However, he won support from NATO, which said the amount of heavy military equipment used by Russian troops in eastern Ukraine had increased, and the alliance repeated its call for the forces to withdraw. Chornobyl (Чорнобиль, IPA: [tʃɔrˈnɔbɪlʲ]), or Chernobyl (Чернобыль, Russian pronunciation: [tɕɪˈrnobɨlʲ]), is a city in northern Ukraine, in Kiev Oblast (Province). It is twinned with Larne, in Ireland. [1]
The city was evacuated in 1986 due to the Chernobyl disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, located 14.5 kilometers (9 miles) north-northwest. The power plant is within Chernobyl Raion , but the city was not the residence of the power-plant workers. When the power plant was under construction, Prypiat, a city larger and closer to the power plant, had been built as home for the power-plant workers.
Though the city today is mostly uninhabited, a small number of inhabitants reside in houses marked with signs stating that the "Owner of this house lives here".

Amid Ukraine’s ongoing war, LGBT+ soldiers continue a parallel fight for equality and recognition. The NGO Ukrainian LGBT Defenders for Equal Rights, led by Viktor Pylypenko, provides legal, psychological, and advocacy support to over 600 LGBT veterans. Voices like Dmytro Pavlov and Alina Sarnatska highlight the struggle: from trauma and discrimination in the military to public activism and storytelling. With EU funding and rising public support, the organisation pushes for reforms, including civil partnerships and anti-discrimination laws — ensuring that all defenders are seen, heard, and protected.

This is near Maidan. Apparently, it says "One Ukraine" in Russian and Ukrainian, and was put up by an oligarch who acquired this property in very shady circumstances with the former Russian-based government, and he put this up to cover some very unflattering graffiti,
Here is some temptation to go and sign up for the Ukrainian Village outing this year. See you there!
