I was between a young, very serious Ukrainian fan and Tunisia's most Tunisian man, dapperly-dressed with headwear and tidy beard. Sadly I didn't get my picture taken with them both.

Lviv, Ukraine. Beautiful Unesco Heritage City of culture, art and architecture. Lviv is a university town and has great bars, coffee houses and live music everywhere.

Ice fishing on Dnipro River, Kyiv

Kiev (/ˈkiːɛf, -ɛv/)[7] or Kyiv (Ukrainian: Київ [ˈkɪjiu̯] ( listen); Russian: Киев [ˈkʲiɪf]) is the capital and largest city of Ukraine, located in the north central part of the country on the Dnieper River. The population in July 2013 was 2,847,200[1] (though higher estimated numbers have been cited in the press),[8] making Kiev the 8th most populous city in Europe.

 

Kiev is an important industrial, scientific, educational, and cultural centre of Eastern Europe. It is home to many high-tech industries, higher education institutions and world-famous historical landmarks. The city has an extensive infrastructure and highly developed system of public transport, including the Kiev Metro.

Zhovkva Synagogue, (בית הכנסת של ז'ולקבה); built 1692-1698. An outstanding example of a fortress synagogue with a late-Renaissance appearance and baroque additions.

The Kiev Funicular (Ukrainian: Київський фунікулер) serves the city of Kiev, connecting the historic Uppertown, and the lower commercial neighborhood of Podil through the steep Volodymyrska Hill overseeing the Dnieper River. The line consists of only two stations and is operated by the Kiev city community enterprise Kyivpastrans.
