This is the installer installing my customized "BNI-Ubuntu". It'll do everything just like a standard Ubuntu install and when it's done, just reboot and you'll have a working "student version" OS.

hola amigos nuevamente en ubuntu pero esta vez ya lo he actualizado al 10.04.1 nuevamente tengo los screenlets de anillos y otro con la informacion de mi sitema, tengo doki en la parte baja del escritorio como si fuera barra de tareas, el tema es azenis, no se de donde salio ya que se instalo automaticamente xD, y los iconos son = azenis xD.

this howto worked for me, which means... i've got soundstorm on ubuntu on my media center! (which means i have *hardware* dolby digital encoding... on linux!) better yet, there's a very strange 9" monitor in my modded Mac SE and on windows i never got it passed 800x600, but... on Ubuntu and with the exact refreshrates... I managed to get it to an ultrasharp (for such a small monitor) 1024x768 and the TV-out (to my ancient video projection system) is working too (in colour no less! ;-))... sooooo I'm a happy camper now... watching movies on my ubuntu media center, with a proper image and sound.

A week of using Ubuntu and Vista has passed now. Which is better? Honestly? It has to be Ubuntu. Vista looks pretty but is irritating. Ubuntu is genuinely nicer to use and free. Yay!
