Tobias, one of the UX designers, organizes a "formal Friday" get-together--the opposite of a casual Friday--anytime there's a Friday the 13th. People are invited to dress up as much as they want, and some people really go all-out. It just so happened that my last day fell on this very day, so it was a nice chance to say farewell to a number of the wonderful people I worked with during the past 2 years.

Not Quite Falling - This is a macro image of an ant hanging upside down from a flower blossom. This nature shot took place at Belle Isle Conservatory in Detroit, MI in 2007. As an organic macro photographer I truly enjoy finding natural wonders in tiny places. People are used to seeing ants, but seeing such detail and grace in a moment of uncertainty like this. Few would see ants as beautiful but yet in this image it's hard not to in this moment frozen in time. /
