If you know any of these buildings or work/eat/play anywhere in here feel free to add a note marking the spot.

The UT Tower, a remarkable structure in itself. And has a quite a dark history behind it too, that being the reason for selected closure of the tower.
I took this photo, to emphasize the angle - standing on its diagonal. It so happened, that the sun was alos at a 90 degree angle to me, giving quite a contrast in light.
Suggestions for a crop are invited. I do not know how to crop the buildings at the bottom.
While Mike and I were relaxing at home on the evening of Saturday, May 20, we happened to glance through the balcony window of our condo (unit 2010 in the 360 Condominiums building) and saw that The University of Texas Tower was lit up orange and silhouetted by fireworks. We soon discovered that the orange illumination and fireworks display was in honor of UT's May 2017 graduating class. Here, you can see a short video of the fireworks display as seen from our balcony...
A 3-exposure HDR + tonemap I shot sometime last year of the University of Texas tower during one of our victories.
Its similar to another shot I've done but the perspective is different, the tower was lit up, and the sky wasn't as light-polluted.
The UT Tower, lit partially red after a win in football against a state team. Also, the fountain (in the south mall of the campus) hides behind it a loud navarathri celeberation.
These are some sample experiments with my SLR.

Every year, Austin puts on the Trail of Lights in Zilker Park. I was fortunate enough to go on Friday's media night to take pictures for a local website. Here is a panoramic shot of the lights with the UT tower lit up orange for Colt McCoy's winning the Walter Camp award.
At UT a few weeks ago, the fountain was on, there were fewer cars and people around (I guess everyone was studying for finals!).
So, here is the "Iconic" shot of the tower and fountain. Hope you like!

Proof that I have completed an important phase of my life and am slowlying progressing into the next stage of my life.
I graduated from the University of Texas, Austin last Saturday with Master's in Computer Engineering. I will on be moving away from Austin for a full time work - Austin which has been my home for about two and a half years now.
On graduation day, I decided to create some memories of me in Austin. In this shot, I am posing beside the statue of George Washington Senior in front of the UT Tower in the robe I was honored in the same morning.

To celebrate the national championship of the mens NCAA swim team UT lit the tower last night with the number one!
There was a large number of photographers out taking pictures so I wanted to include some of them in the picture (and I think it gives the tower some scale).
Go HORNS!

On Thursday, November 12, I looked out the north-facing windows of our condo (unit 2010 in the 360 Condominiums building) and noticed that the The University of Texas Tower was lit orange again. When the tower is illuminated with orange lighting, it typically signals a UT sports win or some other celebratory event. In this case, it was lighted orange in honor of UT's Army ROTC Ranger Challenge Team, which won the 2015 Fifth Brigade Ranger Challenge. (Apologies for the poor/grainy quality of this pic; my iPhone doesn't take very clear nighttime photos...) If you look closely, you'll see the UT Tower near the upper center of the photo; and you can see the Texas State Capitol building toward the far right of the frame.
On the evening of Saturday, May 13, 2017, I glanced out the bedroom window of our condo (unit 2010 in the 360 Condominiums building) and saw that The University of Texas Tower was lit entirely orange. When the tower is illuminated with orange lighting, it typically signals a UT sports win or some other celebratory event. In this case, the orange lighting was in celebration of UT's men's golf team winning the Big 12 Championship. The UT golf team won the league championship with a four-round total of 48-over-par 1,168, beating second-place Oklahoma State. (Apologies for the poor/grainy quality of this pic; my iPhone doesn't take very clear nighttime photos, and I shot this one through a window.)
