Conditions this morning were a lot better than yesterday for viewing CVN75, the USS Harry S Truman. Here till Wednesday for some shore leave.
This 4 shot panorama looks across from the stern of CVN75 to Osborne House where Quenn Victoria liked to stay.
Overall: 1,092 feet (332.8 m); Waterline: 1,040 feet (317.0 m). Apparently carries up to 90 aircraft and helicopters.
The two little boats near the bows of the CVN75 are either MOD or Hampshire Police boats. There were another two off her stern! Coming back last night from collecting a takeaway there was a fair bit of blue flashing lights out in the bay. Taking security seriously!

US Navy Grumman C-2A Greyhound, BuAer No.162158/44 from Detachment 1, VRC-40 Squadron all folded and stowed aboard CVAN-75, the USS Harry S. Truman when moored in Stokes Bay, The Solent on the 9th of May 2003.
These venerable COD (Carrier On-board Delivery) machines were designed by Grumman to replace their
C-1 Trader in that role. Based on the E-2 Hawkeye airframe but with a new fuselage and extra fins, the Greyhound has a much larger capacity than the Trader and with rear loading ramp, the ability to deliver personnel, equipment and even replacement jet engines onto the 'boat' (Carrier) they roam the world in support of these huge floating airfields, so it was quite unusual to see two of these aboard when usually they would be ashore somewhere locally waiting for her to sail.
Some 18 airframes were originally ordered but so successful was the design that a second batch of 39 were added.
At one stage, Lockheed took the S-3 Viking sub-hunter airframe and converted some to a 'COD' role but with limited capacity the C-2's were upgraded with the new six-bladed props and other enhancements to keep them flying for the foreseeable future.
VRC-40 aka 'Rawhides' are home based at NAS Norfolk in Virginia USA.
