What do you think of this hub? I bought this in Japan. barebones- no leds, no grounding on housings and mini-USB connector. I intend to leave that on since I've no real experience soldering such small leads.

Sometimes it's good to know a little about everything. This is my field expedient 12 volt to 5 volt USB phone charger hack.
Considering half my contacts are engineers, most will not be impressed. I didn't solder or heat shrink because I intend to put both cables back together when I retrieve my charger from WV. But I did tape off hot and ground after the photo.
