From the comments below, I was reminded that not everyone will recognize the tough guy on the left, US President and "Rough Rider" Teddy Roosevelt. He's famous for saying "Talk softly, and carry a big stick", and for being the namesake of the teddy bear.

When routine bites hard
And ambitions are low
And resentment rides high
But emotions won't grow
And we're changing our ways
Taking different roads
So this is a view looking north across Sydney Harbour towards Kirribilli.
Photographed from beside the 19th century cannon at Dawes Point Battery.
I used my Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 'dodgy', non L series lens, so you can see right across the harbour to the buildings at Kirribilli, notably the St Aloysius College with its Christian cross. And you can check out the people on the boats!!
So after finishing work at Chatswood last Friday (Friday, 13th December, 2024) I drove down to the harbour, via a hideous traffic jam on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and amazingly secured parking on Lower Fort Street.
I then walked down to the harbour - but there was virually no harbour, just boats. SO many boats. It is incredible that they don't run into one another, lol.
My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV with the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6mm lens.
Processed in Adobe Lightroom and PhotoPad Pro by NCH software.

Day 27 of Pentax Forum's Daily in December 2022
Thank you every one for dropping by to view, comment or fave this piece of whimsy. Smiles to end the year I hope.
This photo shows the sand bars in Badwater Creek as seen from the bridge on US Highway 20 north of Shoshoni, Wyoming. This location lies new the old townsite of Bonneville, in Fremont county, Wyoming. Badwater Creek has very little water most of the year but in the spring and early summer, water, which is mostly runoff from rain and melting snow, sculpts the sandbars in the sediment clogged channel. Geologist refer to this type of creek as a braided stream and the sandbars in it are referred to as braid bars. The bridge and this portion of the creek lie in Boysen State Park.
