Behind our place.. Belize has not disappointed for sure...

One of a coalition of five male cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus), sometimes called the 5 Musketeers or the Fast Five, that have been together since the Fall of 2016. This is a historic grouping because of its large number and consists of two brothers and three non related males. Together they are able to hold larger territory and bring down larger prey. Sandhill Crane.

Between 34 to 48 inches in length with a wingspan of nearly 7 feet. They are very tall with a long neck and long legs. Largely gray with a red forehead. Juveniles are browner and have no red on head. Their plumage often appears a rusty color because of iron stains from water of ponds or marshes.

They inhabit large freshwater marshes, prairie ponds and marshy tundra. They are also on prairies and grain fields during migration and in winter.

They range from Siberia and Alaska to the Hudson Bay and south into western Ontario. There are isolated populations in: the Rocky Mountains, the northern prairies, the Great Lakes, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida. They winter in California's Central Valley and across the southern states from Arizona to Florida.

It is inevitable. We learn to live with those scars, or they kill us long before we actually die. Small scars, large, scars as long and deep as the ocean—they define us; they become a part of our life map.

From the comments below, I was reminded that not everyone will recognize the tough guy on the left, US President and "Rough Rider" Teddy Roosevelt. He's famous for saying "Talk softly, and carry a big stick", and for being the namesake of the teddy bear.
