I'll be honest, I used a lot of old items in this image, but man they were perfect for it. Old goods aren't always a bad thing - I often make use of the older stuff I own and will continue to do so until they no longer measure up to current quality standards. Good on you, to the creators whose items prove lasting.
This picture was such an easy one to work. I didn't do that much to it from the raw image, which I'll link below. just dressed it up a bit and gave it a background to suit really. But that's what happens when everything you're wearing is so lovely on its own.

As one of the most photographed ghost towns in the West, Rhyolite should be a priority when planning a Nevada adventure. This fascinating boomtown sprung to life after a couple of prospectors discovered high-grade, extremely valuable gold ore in 1905. Several mining camps, including Rhyolite, popped up in the region, which later became known as the Bullfrog Mining District.
As if Rhyolite sprung to life overnight, this community quickly became the epicenter of the Bullfrog Mining District and aside from a swelling population, boasted 50 saloons, 35 gambling tables, 19 lodging houses, 16 restaurants, several barbers, a public bath house, and the Rhyolite Herald—a weekly newspaper publication. To add to an already growing population, a hard-to-imagine FOUR daily stagecoaches connected “The World’s Greatest Gold Camp” to Rhyolite, ushering in a steady flow of people to Nevada’s newest gold discovery.

💕 Everything is harmony between all living species on Earth; Let's look at the Earth with all these Colors, these Shades.... it's Harmony! , it's a Work of Art!.... and everything that is ugly, black, in this painting that we are looking at, take a good look, it's the Human Being who creates it. 💕
Fragile..., Nature does what she can, but some have lost their values, by the lure of gain, material wealth... . Wealth makes us lose the goodness of the heart, we don't value what Mother Nature offers us..., we kill her little by little, and this is only the beginning, with this climate in disarray.
We Kill it and we Suffer it... by Our Fault.
Material wealth helps Happiness, but it's not Happiness.. I don't care if I earn a little or a lot, the important thing is what I grow inside my garden and what I share on the outside.... but it"s true that if I am the only one to share my Interior... well I will have nothing to share with those who are different from me, who are closed and never say what they think.
Pride, an oversized ego, greed, vanity, lying and falsehood are not part of my life. And I'm not even here to support it! lol!.

La riqueza nos hace perder la bondad del corazon, no valoramos lo que nos ofrece la Madre Naturaleza..., la vamos matando poco a poco, y esto es solo el principio, con este clima en desorden.
Lo Matamos y lo Sufrimos... por Nuestra Culpa.
La riqueza material ayuda a la Felicidad, pero no es Felicidad.. No me importa si gano poco o mucho, lo importante es lo que cultivo dentro de mi jardin y lo que comparto afuera.... pero es cierto que si soy la unica que comparte mi Interior... pues no tendré nada que compartir con los que son diferentes a mi, que son cerrados y nunca dicen lo que piensan de verdade !.
El orgullo, un ego sobredimensionado, la codicia, la vanidad, la mentira y la falsedad no forman parte de mi vida. ¡Y ni siquiera estoy aqui para apoyarlo ni soportalo ! lol !

Fragile..., la Nature fait ce qu'elle peut, mais certains ont perdu leurs valeurs, par l'appât du gain, les richesses matérielles ... . Les richesses nous fait perdre la bonté du coeur, on ne valorise pas ce que Mère Nature nous Offre.., on la tue petit à petit, et ce n'est que le début, avec ce climat en déroute.
Nous la Tuons et nous la Subissons... par Notre Faute.
Les richesses matérielles aide au Bonheur, mais ce n'est pas le Bonheur.. Moi je m'en Fou de gagner peu ou beaucoup , l'important c' est ce que je cultive à l'intérieur de mon jardin et que je partage à l'extérieur.... mais il est vrai que si je suis la seule à partager mon Intérieur... et bien je n'aurai rien à partager avec ceux qui sont différent de moi, qui sont fermés et ne disent jamais ce qu'ils pensent.
l'Orgueil, un ego surdimensionné, l'avidité, la vanité, le mensonge et la fausseté ne font pas partie de ma vie. Et je ne suis même pas là pour la supporter ! lol !.

Following on from the last image of Bamford Edge... I don't usually post several images from a location in succession but it seemed right to do so on this occasion as this directly follows the last image in terms of the reason for being there.
A fabulous sunset and and sky on Bamford Edge which, if we had left it much longer we would have missed, "on the last minute" would probably be the best way to describe our arrival here.. I do like to get to places early and set up and wait but a visit to a friend of mine nearby did delay us a while, as did the climb up to here after a Steak and Ale Pie in the Pub.... luckily it all worked out nicely, apart from being very out of breath for quite a while!
I was hoping to get the drone up here for a timelapse of the sunset but the wind had other ideas, it took most of my concentration to watch where I was standing here as about a foot behind me was an enormous drop which I really didn't fancy ending up at the bottom of...

It’s been 6 months since Iceland. For a month I explored this lonely, otherworldly country from a camper van — and I’m still discovering images with unexpected mood and mystery from some of the nasty days.
I stayed in the camper van overnight for my first visit to Vestrahorn. Because of the flat cloud cover and failing light, I really didn’t expect any keepers and simply focused on scouting the area. But the wild bulging clouds over Vestrahorn make me wish I’d at least set my tripod up!

Une balade au milieu de la belle solfatare Seltún (et ses odeurs décapantes, toi-même tu sais si tu as déjà mis les pieds dans une zone géothermique), située au cœur du système volcanique de Krýsuvík, à deux pas de la capitale islandaise.

Que vous me suiviez depuis longtemps ou non, vous aurez pu remarquer que le noir et blanc, "ce n'est pas mon truc".
Et c'est justement pour ça que j'ai eu envie de vous présenter une série d'images en noir et blanc.
Logique, n'est ce pas ?
Je pense que j'ai toujours préféré travailler la couleur car j'aime rendre la réalité des choses. Les couleurs d'automne qui me tiennent tant à cœur, les teintes chatoyantes des villas abandonnées, la nature au milieu de laquelle mes mariés choisissent de se dire "Oui".
Mais, attention : le monochrome, c'est très beau, je ne dis pas le contraire. Simplement, il est trop souvent utilisé par facilité, lorsqu'une photo en couleur "ne rend pas bien".
Il est certain que des images seront aussi réussies en couleur qu'en noir et blanc, mais elles ne raconteront pas la même chose.
Et parfois, le noir et blanc, ça ne fonctionne juste pas.
De mon point de vue, ça se réfléchit, ça s'anticipe.
C'est pourquoi j'ai choisi de me "faire violence" lors de mon escapade islandaise d'il y a quinze jours afin de vous présenter des images que j'ai choisi de shooter, cette fois-ci, en noir et blanc. Vous pourrez découvrir cette série au fil des semaines à venir.
J'espère que vous apprécierez, et que je réussirai mon pari de vous faire apprécier le monochrome "version Marie" !
