At Stratford Upon Avon where there are lakes and longboats. The birth place of William Shakespeare.

Keefer Lake, Ontario, Canada - The colours are not very vivid this year and the leaves are falling fast ... the price we pay for having such a beautiful (and dry) summer!

On my stroll through the area of Orpierre I stumbled upon this small hidden waterfall. I was attracted by the light and details of the rocks and the flowing water. Using multiple exposures I got the smoothness of the falling water and the rest in balance.

Leazes Park is the oldest public park in Newcastle upon Tyne built in 1873 however over the years the terrace had been destroyed until 2001 when it was recreated according to old pictures. With St.James Park football stadium in the background.

Sitting in the carpark far side of Ballywalter this morning waiting for some nice reflections...when they were waiting for me the whole time near the carpark on the way into the town :)

A rare sun of late winter and an impromptu trip to Long Branch Farm. Using the light while I have it.

"Far out on the rim of the prairie lies a silvery haze, through which the vault of azure melts into the dusty whiteness of the grasses.

Then, level on level, with each slowly swelling rise growing sharper under that crystalline atmosphere the prairie rolls in, broken here by a willow copse and there by a straggling birch bluff, while a belt of cool neutral shadow marks the course of a deep-sunk ravine.

At first sight it is all one glaring sweep of white and gray, but on looking closer with understanding eyes one sees the yellow and sage-green of tall reeds in a sloo, the glowing lights of sun-bleached buffalo bones, and a mingling of many colors where there is wild peppermint or flowers among the grass.

Then, broad across the foreground, growing tall and green in a few moister places, and in others changing to ochre and coppery red, there ripples, acre after acre, a great sea of grain."

This is one of several panels on the High Level bridge in Newcastle upon Tyne that hold padlocks, the recent craze where lovers put their names on a padlock and attach them to bridges. The other day I saw a guy with bolt cutters taking one off and throwing it into the water, was it a failed relationship or was he very jealous?

Beautiful starry night in Joshua Tree National Park, CA, my spiritual home for photography, on a perfect night in mid-June. I met my friend Dave for dinner and then drove out to this picturesque area of the Park for the beginning of my photog adventure in this area. To the left of this photo was a strange humming sound, and as I walked closer, I realized that it was a giant bee hive. That area could wait for another time to explore. Time to walk to a different area and photograph! I lit the trees just a little with a ProtoMachines LED2 handheld flashlight during the exposure.

Have you heard that every time you remember something, your memory changes? I think it's related to the Observer Effect in physics, where the act of observing or measuring something changes whatever it is.
