Just keeping these reflections Pure and Simple, with No photoshop Jiggery Pokery.................

Christmas Eve, is a perfect time to find your Smile reflected in a Bauble........

A Time of Celebration, with family and friends may it be filled with Joy and Peace......Happy Christmas.

In 1717, the ship Squirrel brought Samuel Shute, the royal governor of Massachusetts, to Arrowsic Island on the Kennebec River to renew a peace treaty with the local Indians. The ship ran aground but was later refloated, and the incident was memorialized in the name given to the location: Squirrel Point. The Squirrel Point Light was erected in 1898, and several other buildings were added later. The light was automated in the early 1980s, but before that there were many lighthouse keepers and their families who lived in a house nearby. We saw the lighthouse during a very fun and informative lighthouse cruise in Maine.

Once upon a time, the pine tree, that spring is already approaching.

The mole croaked grimly: - He will surely come by car.

The hedgehog turned stern: - Rather on a scooter.

The snake hissed: - I don't believe it, he'll come on a bicycle.

The blackbird whistled: - I know something about it, he will come by plane.

- From where again," said the magpie, "I do not take my eyes off her

and last year in May I saw her on the streetcar.

- Not true spring usually arrives by motorcycle!

- And I will prove to you here that it is by car.

- Not true, because in a carriage!

- In a carriage? - What are you saying?

I can briefly declare that he goes by his own boat!

And spring has come on foot.

Already the flowers are enjoying her , already the grasses are growing before her

And they are humming - welcome spring!

Cole River

Swansea, Massachusetts

Heavy clouds to the south of the Cole River part enough to allow for some deep B&W IR photography on a warm summer morning. Having grown up on the southern, tidal end of the river where it meets Mount Hope Bay, I was unaware this lazy body of water miles away is part of it. The large rock left of center is a favorite perch of aquatic and wading birds; lately its been occupied by a double-crested cormorant—in years past, a great blue heron.

To my American friends, have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Filters: 590 nm IR (camera conversion by LifePixel)

A place to "walk the walk" and "dream the dream"

A Mourning Dove perched upon the fence really stands out against the bokeh background.

Quleh ruins, Central Israel. In 1948, Quleh was completely destroyed due to the Israel Independence War. The Arab inhabitants fled and what remains now is the ruins and trees and grass growing inside them. The landscape looks fantastic as any little hill in the forest may suddenly turn out to be a destroyed building covered by grass and bushes. The accidental sun reflexes added to the atmosphere of the place.

Day after day, day after day,

We stuck, nor breath nor motion;

As idle as a painted ship

Upon a painted ocean.
