[EN] The drone recon and ground attack MALE Otus was designed by Dassault Aviation from 2017. The main subcontractor of this UAV is a specialist in military electronics Thales. The drone is the culmination of the French program of autonomous vehicles, launched to ensure the independence of France in this field. The drone of a reasonable size, has established itself as a brand in this growing market, highlighting its benefits. Its light weight, low maintenance cost and the quality of its sensors were decisive advantages for sales of this product in other countries. Einherjar Corp. recently acquired 12 "Otus".
To replace the ageing Predator and Reaper drones, the US Airforce comminsioined a new line of unmanned ariel vechiles with the ability to loiter over battlefields for a continuous stream of intelligence. Thus the Albatross was born. Equipped with a coxial 50 caliber machingun, the Albatross is capable of both light air support and up to date real time battlegied information. Several models have been shipped out to key US allies all over the world.

The unmanned aerial vehicle dropped an autonomous payload... a Pelican Case with a servo controlled parachute, guided by GPS and accelerometers. Total cost of the autonomous payload was about $500 in parts.
The payload was dropped from 10,000 feet, and was only off by a matter of feet.
