This poster was Hungarian and a much different type of design than any of the other European work. It's propaganda, but a good percentage of posters are just that. Designed by Mihaly Biro 1913.
Gala Program cover
9 x 12 in. 2 color (Red and Metallic Gold)
-The concept came from gala decoration idea of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. So I implemented a gold dragon element on red background and treated the typography in an abstract combination of: spotlight, Trajan fonts (that was in most of Hollywood posters), and chopstick.
1) congratulations, you thought long and hard and picked verdana.
2) hyphenation is completely wrong
Multi-color fonts & CSS & transition = Animated web typography
Every part of each letter can animate independently from the rest of the letter. The animation is made with jqueryui switch classes, which adds and removes class(es) to elements while animating all style changes. Combined with a random value for timing the animation delivers endless random country-color animations.
classes = Array('GER', 'NED', 'BRA', 'BEL', 'CHI','BIH', 'ITA', ‘MEX’...);
$j(".TripperTricolorPro.MIX").each( function () {
newclass = classes[Math.floor(Math.random()*classes.length)];
oldclass = $j(this).attr('class').split(' ')[3]
$j(this).switchClass(oldclass, newclass, Math.floor(Math.random()*3000)+1000)
});

"Typology of Typography: The Typographic designs of Peter Bella" is on display in the Visual Arts Gallery through March 27. The artist (left) was honored at a reception last Thursday. (Photo by Jim Whitcraft)
This was my final typography composition. I has to capture the 'essence' of the font by highlighting features which I found relevant and intriguing. My final work was meant to highlight the fancy, elegant elements of the typeface which referred to the arrogance of the environment it is most commonly integrated into- the fashion industry.
The beautiful piece of art my friend Lydia came up with during a Typography Workshop by artist Magdlena Papanicolopolou.
