You should come join me next time I visit one of the best photography locales in North America.....
For those that don't know, Canada's National Parks all have these iconic red Muskoka chairs placed through out each park. I've sort of made a bucket list challenge to myself to visit as many as I can. There are 47 National Parks in Canada and so far, I've only visited a few of them. I look forward to enjoying lots of those beautiful Canadian views, hopefully with some of my favourite people beside me :-)

Banff National Park, Alberta
This cloud-wrapped peak caught my eye as I was scouting Two Jack and Minnewanka Lakes near Banff. I don’t know the mountain’s name; under such circumstances I shoot first and ask questions later.

My second sunrise photoshoot at Two Jack Lake, a picturesque emerald green lake in Banff National Park with a sweeping view of Mount Rundle.
The first time I was treated with mist rising over the lake and no clouds or colors in the sky.
This time, there was no fog, a bit windy, but had a beautiful glowy sky and lake.
Sunrise was about to take place behind the trees on the left.
Many thanks to your visit, favs and kind words, much appreciated!
Taken last year when everything froze... We're not quite at that stage this year... Just yet haha. It's all down hill from here...
This is Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park.
Back In February I got the chance to do a winter meetup in the Canadian Rockies and it was a lot of good times and even better conditions. This image is from the Two Jack Lake area and we got a really nice sunrise but the lake was frozen and not much going on in terms of foreground so this image was taken inches from the ground to make the tiny little s-Curve look larger due to the distortion of the wide angle lense. Then used the transform tool to extend the length with the highlight dodge tool to extend it into the middle ground. This helped the image with the foreground and connecting the background.
Thanks for looking !

Revisit to the archives...this one from an early morning expedition to Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park. Not exactly the sunrise we were hoping for, but it was so quiet, peaceful, and calm that it more than made up for any grand light show. And we had it all to ourselves while everyone else was still sleeping :-)
Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend; weather here was gorgeous; so unseasonably cool for the end of July in the Midwest which was a nice change of pace. And I got to spend the afternoon with my two favorite men (hubby & dad). Have to hit the road tomorrow; traveling to Chicago for business, so I will catch up with everyone later in the week. Appreciate all your visits and comments!!!!!
Sometimes you really have to work to find interesting images - walking a long distance, getting up early, trying to be creative. Other times however, the photo is super obvious and easy to find. This one was on the easy side - right beside a parking lot, sunrise not too early, and a completely obvious image. Banff is one of those places where you can have it either way - you can work hard to find that crazy and unique view, but you can also get those really obvious images too. Sometimes it's nice to find an easy one!
Last one from Alberta for a while. On to a new location and a new adventure!
Taken with a Canon 5D IV and a 16-35 f/4L with a lee landscape polarizer. Processed in Camera Raw and Photoshop.
Visited this place for the first time back in 1981 when I moved to Alberta. This was only my second visit in over 30 years... forgot how nice it is.
A moment of calm from the Canadian Rockies, the perfect place for a bit of reflection.

Quite a perfect morning here at the start of our Canadian trip. We're back after a 6,000+ mile road trip camping with friends. Amazing time!

Perfect timing is a concept -- there is no beginning, no end. We only feel perfect timing when we feel it in ourselves. But what is perfect timing if you can't define it? Is it when you tread carefully on the unmarked path so as to not crush the little flowers nor leave a footprint behind? Is it when you start to savor the cool crisp air that you just inhaled or the fresh scent of damp earth mixed with old fallen leaves? Is it when you begin to be cognizant of the songs the birds have been singing so proudly without an audience or the sound of your own beating heart? Is it when you realize your true inner presence in sync with the majesty of Gods creations?

Two Jack Lake in Alberta, Canada....I had to go back to this location three days in a row until I caught the still water before the morning wind picked up.
